2012 will be a great year for me. Yes. Im saying this simply because i'm being optimistic. Im a notch better than myself in 2011.

2011 is a colorful year for me. I endured soo much. Physically, emotionally and spiritually.

Physically :
I realized how much i have work too hard for the last 2 years. I went into a lot of stressed without me realizing it. It is funny since i did not realized that i experienced a lot of stress due to my workload. It finally took a toll on my body after I went through a medical check up (new-employee medical check up) the doctor told me my blood pressure is soo high. My blood pressure systolic reading is somewhere around 80-89.

I blamed my attitude for taking things too seriously. I never complained about my work. Betul. Tak tipu. I think because i listen to my father too much. He told me...

"Fariz, push yourself to the limit. Once you reach your limit, you push it somemore..."

I did. I bit more then I can chewed. Not blaming my father for that. After this, i will be more careful when it comes too work. Not to put excessive expectation on myself.

However, i did loose 15 kilos that year.. but gaining my 9 kilos back.. really not good for my health.

Emotionally:

It is very difficult for me to fall in love. I have no expectation from other women. But, when i fell in love, its going to be soo hard and so painful for me to deal with.

I have a long-time girlfriend. We've been together for soo long. I consider myself as a loyal friend and boyfriend.

But, we all human. Human make mistake. So, there was my mistake. I mistakenly let myself to
fall again. It took me forever to realize the mistake i make and to rectify it.

Now, im come to my sense and i realized there is only one omen that i want to be with forever

Hope everything goes well in May 2012...

Spiritually:

All things that happened to me for the last few years make me tougher and stronger. I have to admit I was naive and immature back in school and university year. I make a lot wrong things to a lot of people without even realizing it. Tho my intention was good I end up making a lot of people upset with me.

and i always wish i can turn back time and make good of all those things.

Everything happened for a reason. It helps me grew up and I believe turn me into a better person.

and I am now. Better than who i was. At peace with myself.

Anyway.. tho i was super busy last year i finished reading 5 books! Well thanks to the inefficient queuing system in Court,..erm... hope can increase it to 10 this time around..

The acquittal of Anwar Ibrahim has caused me to post this status on my Facebook:-

"Anwarconda is not guilty.... pending appeal. Ngehehe"

A personal friend pm me and asked me to stop spreading fitnah. I am appalled. I don't think my status quallified as a fitnah. I have called Anwar Ibrahim as Anwarconda since i started to realized how his tounge has created more fitnah and how he spinned so many things and how i believe his vision, mission and plans are dangerous to Muslim at large.

Not because he bust some coffee boy buttock. Not at all.

I rarely explained to people why I decided to support UMNO and to vote BN during general election. Despite in the beginning people recognized me as a stounch supporter of Parti Islam Semalaysia. For your information the bigger part of my family vote for PAS since 80's.

There is a huge Nik Aziz potrait hanging on the wall at Grandparents house. Twice during General Election in 1998's and 2004's, PAS cawangan Parit Bakri used my Grandparents house as bilik gerakan party (my late grandfather donated a lot to PAS). I remember when i was in standard 6 i campaigned for PAS candidates, waving PAS flag on a pick up truck while my father drove it around Muar town. We lost both GE's. In the 2008 PR put a DAP candidate at Muar and they won. This time PAS no longer used my Grandparents house as a "Bilik Gerakan" since my late grandfather already bed ridden so they choose to set it somewhere else.

I still remember knowing Harakah is the only newspaper available at my house (now, my father reads TheSun coz its free) and how i still remember their column on Muslim struggling in Chechnya inspires me so much.. that i started to love military history which eventually leads me to love everything on history.

But, at the end of the day, as i grew older , i am more mature and i started to read more books, history books, national geograhic magazines, history programmes in discovery and natgeo channel... books on Malaysia, story on Mahathir. I started to impress with them, but still it is not enough to convert me from a strong supporter of PAS into someone that willing to help UMNO and BN wins an election..

The reason I shifted my platform/manhaj to fight for Islam is something that I do not want to share with anyone, except a few close friends which should understand me. It is not something personal. But, let me just keep it to myself. What I can tell you is my conscience is clear and my reasons are there keeping me sane and keeping me entrenched in what i believe in.

If i say im doing this

It may sound cliche and lame. But, that is the truth. It is for the bigger picture. It is beyond corruption, nepotisme, DEB, quota, 30% equity, hak melayu, Kesultanan Melayu, Kes Murtad, rosmah, najib, tun dr.mahathir, cincin rm24 juta. Its beyond all that.

At the end of the day, all im doing, my fights, my contributions are for the sake of upholding Islam as a syumul religion.

Anwar Ibrahim acquital (double edge sword)

901 - is the most awaited day. I wait for it with a lot of anticipation.

Had a weekend lunch with my confidant, we discussed on lengthy about Anwar Ibrahim.

I expressed my worries that if Anwar Ibrahim found guilty and put in jailed, the likelihood of Pakatan Rakyat to win the coming General Election will increased.

As, Anwar has become the liability for Pakatan Rakyat and when Anwar's absent the best candidate for Pakatan Rakyat to pitch as a Prime Minister will be Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.

Wan Azizah will garnered more sympathy. As most people admire her courage and strength dealing with all the hardship she went through. Wan Azizah is a Medical Doctor by qualification, a mother, a muslimah and a very patience wifes.

I cannot imagine, what a crushing defeats will BN have to deal with if Wan Azizah leads Pakatan Rakyat. It is not a new thing a charismatic women, widow or wife leads a party , won an election and become the leader of the country. They have what it takes to garner votes and to win election.

Hillary Clinton, Ninoy Aquino, the new thailand Prime Minister (can't remember her name), Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, Megawati Sukarnoputri and a string of other women who became presidents.

Wan Azizah in my calculation has more then enough potential to become a Prime Minister. Marked my word.

Thus, we (me and my confidant) both come to a conclusion is better for Anwar to stay free and BN will have a punching bag to keep PR at bay just before the General Election.

Thus, we are happy to hear the news that Anwar has been acquitted.

What more, the Judge rule out that he is not certain that the 10 year old DNA is not 100% compromised. If this matter is further appealed by the Prosecutor, Anwar Ibrahim will certainly being checked mate. Because he has to give his DNA sample of which he refused to give at high court stage.

I hope they will put all 3 non-malays and non-muslims judges to preside Court of Appeal, so the whole world could see, in case these COA judges come out with judgment that is bias and so politically motivated, we can used it against them.

Let us outsmart this people time and time again.

Masuk ja bulan 12 mesti berderet dapat undangan kenduri kahwin. Kalau dulu mak ayah yang dapat undangan, sekarang ni aku pulak dapat undangan.

Banyaknya tak terkira, kadangkala satu hujung minggu tu ada 3 - 4 jemputan kenduri kahwin. Tak kira ikut Kad jemputan, SMS atau pun Facebook. Semua ada, memang banyak. Kalau nak ikutkan memang tak dapat nak penuhi semua jemputan. Tapi memang kita akan usahakan.

Lepas tu, kalau pergi ke kenduri-kendara ni, soalan lazim yang diorang tanya "ko biler lagi nak langsung?... Saing-saing kau semua pun dah selamat, si anu tu dah kawin, si polan tu dah nikah, si mangkuk ayun tu dah anak satu..." pot pet, pot pet...

Aku biasa nya, memang jawab main-mainlah. "Lekkkkkk dulu" tak pun "tunggu kau kawin dulu" tak pun "korang tunggu kad je.."... tu semua memang jawapan standed aku...

Aku kalau nak kahwin, aku nak buat lain daripada yang lain. Aku ni menghargai sejarah, menyintai budaya dan menyayangi adat. Jadi, aku nak buat kenduri kahwin aku penuh beradat.

Kalau zaman dulu2 orang tua2 cakap sebelum upacara merisik, kita akan ada Upacara Menengok. Betul. Aku tak reka cerita. Tak caya pergi cari buku adat kahwin orang melayu terbitan dewan bahasa dan pustaka. Upacara ni memang ada tercatit sebagai adat orang melayu. Sebelum merisik kita akan ada Upacara Menengok. Upacara Menengok ni lebih kurang macam mengendap. Iaitu - Mengendap-anak-dara. Kalau orang zaman dulu, ada yang memilih untuk mengendap anak dara waktu diorang mandi di telaga, menjemur pakaian atau membawa hidangan daripada dapur. Jadi oleh kerana zaman sekarang rumah bakal isteri aku tak ada telaga dan dia pun pakai pengering pakaian, aku pilih untuk Mengendap dia sewaktu membawa hidangan. Hahhh.. tu dia.

Kalau setuju cantik. Tak dak kudis, tak dak kurap, tak dak cacat cela, parut tak nampak sangat, punggung lebaq, payudara besaq. Barulah masuk merisik untuk menggunting bunga di taman. Hal punggung lebar dan payudara besar itu penting, sebab zaman dulu2, takda klinik nak bersalin. Cuma ada bidan kampung. Kepercayaannya adalah pungkuq lebaq senang bersalin, payudara besaq senang menyusukan anak. Susu ibu sangat penting sebab waktu tu tiada formula susu, kalau ada pun, orang zaman dulu tak mampu beli.

Kemudian barulah masuk Majlis Meminang. Kalau orang zaman sekarang depa berhenti takat Majlis Minang ja. Aku tak dannn kalau majlis minang ja. Aku nak ikut adat. Jadi adat kata lepas Majlis Minang, ada Majlis Hantar Cincin. Haaaaaa ni la dia waktu kita patut set berapa ringgit hantaran, emas kahwin, upacara akad nikah dan kenduri. Kita kena ingat semua ni.

Biasa pertunangan ni amik masa 6 bulan hingga Setahun. Orang zaman dulu ikut waktu bersawah. Jadi, sbb zaman sekarang ni nak carik petak Sawah dkt KL memang takkan jumpa. Disebabkan bakal isteri aku minat American Next Top Model, Aku nak ikut Cycle dalam American Next Top Model. Setiap tahun ada 2 cycle American Next Top Model.

Lepas tu kenduri kendara pulak. Yang ni kalau ikut zaman dulu, ada yg buat Majlis 2 hari tanpa berhenti. Jadi, itu ler aku nak but. Sebelum Akad Nikah , aku nak jamu tetamu daripada pagi sampai ke malam. Elok jugaklah sebab kaum keluarga, saudara mara, rakan taulan dan sahabat handai yang datang dari jauh kalau sampai lewat boleh makan lagi. Akad Nikah aku nak buat waktu malam , kemudian diikuti dengan membaca Qur'an , berzikir dan berzanji sepanjang malam. Bila pagi ja dalam pukul 9 aku bersanding.

Zaman dulu pengantin lelaki biasa diarak dengan gajah dan disambut dengan muzik gendang keling dan tembakan senapang gajah. Jadi aku nak more or less macam tu jugak lah. Pada sebelah petang pulak, Majlis akan diserikan dengan Majlis Bersilat yang diringi dengan paluan gendang keling.

Sebelah malam pula persembahan ghazal parti akan diadakan. Kalau zaman dulu persembahan ghazal ini yang hampir serupa dengan muzik arab diiringi tarian gelek oleh pondan, darai dan ponen. Mereka pakai pakaian perempuan, bila kena bedak, celak dan gincu, ramai jantan naik gian. Tapi aku tak nak kaum ni menari dekat majlis tulah.

Lepas bersanding, kalau ikut adat. Tak boleh masuk bilik dulu. Pengantin lelaki kena balik rumah dia dan tunggu sampai seminggu. Tunggu perempuan datang rumah dia. Kiranya, lepas seminggu baru aku dan bakal isteri aku boleh bersatu.

It is not dificult to tell other people that your private life is not something that you want to share with the rest of the world. Because, i think everyone does that. Of coz, with exception to those attention craving people.

Some people rather keep whatever happened in their life as private. I for one rarely tell anyone what happen in my life. Be it is a good thing or bad thing or sad thing, i rather keep it to myself and will tell only to those who are close to me. Oh Heck! Sometimes there even things that i do not tell anyone even to the closest.. It just that i like to keep it to myself. I believe all of us here should have their own secret, dirty or not. Their own fotress of secret and solitude. My girlfriend told me im an open book that really hard to read. She wanted me to tell her everything about me. Of coz i will not do that. There are things in my life that im not comfortable sharing with others.

It's not like im bottle everything inside me. It's just that something are not meant to be share. No matter it is good or bad for you. It is just not meant to be share.So, this morning a friend ask me whether i blog or not. I said i am. But, the blog is not about me, nor about my everyday life. My blog is not glamorous, got all the glitters reflecting my everyday life.

It's about me ranting and raving about serious stuffs around me and how i felt useless and helpless when it comes to it. It is all about that.

Im not gonna write something like :

"Today i went out with my baby, we ate sandwich (upload sandwich picture), then we have a diarrhea, damn sandwich. Then i shit... (upload gambar tahi)..."

and all. That is not me. That is soo girlish. Only girls will write about their daily life to be read by everyone across the web. Even if there is a man who do such thing. Im doubt in real life he's a man. Probably a pondan or a man that is too sensitive.

We boys, write on serious stuff. We wrote on something that we like politics, history, computer, sports, military and stuffs. We don't write about our daily lifes and we don't have lovely background and love's falling like a rain decorating the blog. No. That is not us and most importantly it is not me.

Prior to this blog. I had a blog. Years ago. No, its not a blog. A webpage to be specific. I authored a web and a html code. That was way back in high school and the webpage is all about computer, programming, software developing and digital based graphic design. (photoshop, swish, macromedia and what not), but that was way back. Later, all the computer stuffs took a back seat in mylife as i grew up and my interest shifted to a better field. Politics, history and economy. Tho, i ditched economy later in my life coz i do not think im really into it.

My real talent lies in art. Digital art to be precise. Programming also and also hacking as these disciplines involves strategy in the first place. That what makes me very talented in strategized things up.Where,in all my ideas, works and problem solving skill utilized three basic principles, which are:

1. Strategy level
2. Tactical level
3. Technical level

Whatever idea i put into if it pass technical and tactical level, the result will be great and beyond expectation.But, if it is lacking in tactical and/or tactical sense, the strategy level will compensate the two. So, the idea can still work out and reach the expected result.

Ok.. whatever.. im not gonna lecture on how i live my life.

The point is, i write blog to express my feelings. Not to be some emo pms chicks or telling people how great my life is.My life is not that great. But, im grateful with everything that God gave me. Where i believe there are more unfortunate people out there compare to what im gone through.

Even if i blog about my personal life, no one wanna read it. Because my life, is just plain and boring. Neither glamour nor fabulous. What should i write..?

Just received a mail from Bar Council this morning.

They circulating ballot paper to all Bar Members. Its time of the year again, Bar council election. We were given a list of candidates of around 25 lawyers to represent us and we are only allow to tick maximum 12 names. They also attached reports and attendants of the previous bar council committee members.

I discussed with fellow lawyers this morning, on who will get our votes. She suggested me to vote all muslims lawyers.

I don't know whether i should do that or not. There are 9 muslim lawyers in the list, but the report attached suggested almost all of them not committed to the committee (such as not attending meetings and what not).

Well, it is no secret that Bar Council has moved like a body that are so against anything islam and malay. There are many events organized by them that is anti-islam, anti-malay and what not. I believe Bar Council is a pure racist organization. But, do i have to vote those who are not commited to come to power?

Or

Should i vote the preponents of homosexuality, apostasy and libertarian to come to power? Should i let them presides all the positions in Bar Council and let them stirs more trouble within the country?

I think i should vote the Malays and Muslim only. Not, because im racist. But, because i don't want to get share of sins for letting this people organized another gay rally, another bersih demonstration that full of lies, another forum that is organized to insult Islam "Professing Islam" and other things.

So, i choose to vote the 9 malays and muslims.

The thing is, I don't really care. What you shove up each other ass is entirely your own business. I don't care. In fact, I have few friends which i consider as good friend and they are homosexual. This shows im not a homophobic.

I don't have any lesbo friend. tho i think it would be nice to have one. But, i rarely know any tomboy or lesbo. Or even a Mak Nyah (tranny) . I would like to have them as friend. These people, Mak Nyah in particular can be really funny and pleasant, I enjoy myself in their company. Sometime... No. Most of the time they are better listener then some people that i know of. Especially some Mak Nyah that i worked with after SPM (I worked as a casual waiter at Mandarin Oriental coffee house after SPM)

I believe there are more things that makes us similar - In non-liberal way- than things that keep us apart. I believe that everything and everyone is connected. That winning and losing are two sides of the same coin.

I believe all this while the LBGTQWERTY whatever it is community have existed in our country for a very long time and no one really care about them. No one neither acknowledge nor harrased them.

Then come the Ambiga's and the Seksualiti Merdeka which seems fishy, trying to get an endorsement to this community, which for sure will caused a public anger.

I wonder what will happen to Malaysia if we recognized such thing?

I had a long chat with my ex-coursemate yesterday. We talked about our Law Graduation Dinner.

Both of us were committee in charge to organize the dinner. Me? Im in charge designing and controlling multimedia slide show presentation, while he was a publicity and promotion guy.

Well, obviously from yesterday meeting he pretty adamant in saying that the dinner was a success. I agree with him. It was a success (at least for me and him).

Anyway, i do think our dinner set a new standard for the juniors to follow. I compared the photos from our graduation dinner and other batches graduation dinner. I believed we succeeded.

We both agree.

It is not about having our dinner at some fancy and expensive place. It is not about inviting artis2 glamour to perform. It is not about that.

What really important is we should do something memorable. Not to other people. But to us and the batch and we believe we accomplished whatever we intended to do.

Why?

We noticed that all the photos taken during our graduation dinner are soo powerful, it was alive and brights...

by looking at the photos itself, it will automatically bring all the memories back to you, sometime the photos are so alive and if you are so attached to those memories , you will smile from one ear to another if its happy and if you really missed those times, your eyes will shed some tears... that is how powerful the photos are...

what makes it soo alive? and what makes the dinner photos soo different with others...

It simply gooes down to one thing - MOOD.

The mood that the committee created during the dinner. The committee particularly publicity and promotion decided to go with soft colour theme : green, blue and turquoise.

We decided to compensate the theme green, blue and turqoise, with white linen (table cloth etc) and red roses.

Then somewhat when you mixed the color white, green, blue, turqoise and red roses.. You'll get almost white party..

and

when you capture the images and photos (without flashlight) with soft colors background and an honest happy looking faces... you'll capture the perfect memories. That's how you do it when you doing something that should be memorable.

It truly was a good decision when we decided to have our dinner at Grand Continental. The lighting is just nice, for people to take nice photos.

Unlike in posh, classy, super duper expensive hotel,

where the lights are usually soo dim, yellowish and orangish (betul ke?), the walls are usually painted with dark colours, decorated with dark finishing and furnished with dark furniture, and hecks, they even using black linen for table clothing..

that is just and surely horrible place to take picture and what more to record fond and happy memories ... snaping picture in this places will produce moody, unhappy, emo, dark emotions and moods.

at least, for me, i don't like it.... becoz for me, graduation dinner is the dinner where we should be able to reminiscence our old memories, store it and record those memories...

what does dark and dim background can give? NONE.

A Law lecturer got suspended last week. Prof . Aziz Bari. He's a law lecturer and some people especially opposition supporters sees him as a "Pakar Perlembagaan". Well, they might be right. Prof. Aziz Bari did authored several books on constitution and some of it are extentively referred to and used for academic purpose.

His suspension caused an uproar or phenomenan among political leaders, academician, students and of coz his students.

I never studied under him. So, i don't have the liberty to say he's a good lecturer/prof or not. Some of my course mate said he's a good lecturer while some told me otherwise. I don't know and i don't really care.

the reason of his suspension mainly because he had acted against the "interest of yuniversity". Well, for me UIA decision to suspend him is irrelevance.

It is a general rule, that you cannot suspend someone for giving out their oppinion or making a remark WHEN they was asked to do so.

In Aziz Bari case, it was the press who squeezing an oppinion from him. It is not like Aziz Bari is going around telling everybody or advocating his oppinion upon other people. He was ASKED.

Secondly, just WHY NOW? Why only now they decided to suspend Aziz Bari? Why? It is well known that Aziz Bari always has political interest vested in every opinion.

He bashed Gov , criticised and condemned the gov i don't know since how many years. But, he never impartial when giving out his opinion. NEVER.

But, he NEVER SUSPENDED back then.WHY now? This a one huge blunder and this decision will affects government image.

UIA. Suspending Aziz Bari? They just gave him a political martyr.

Well, that is one.

Another thing is, i do not understand why people standing up so much for him?

I simply do not understand the rational of all the pro islam student i know back in UIA on why they stand up so much for him.

Let me reiterate what really triggers the whole thing.

First.

DUMC (a Methodist Church in Damansara) was raided by JAIS for trying to prostelyze the Muslim.

then

All these anti-malays, anti islam whos masquerading as human rights champione went all outrage condemning the raid.

DUMC in their knee jerk reaction, denied they prostelyze some Muslims and accusing JAIS for violating their rights and acting against the law.

Even Selangor Menteri Besar appologize ON BEHALF OF JAIS to the Christian Community BEFORE HE EVEN INVESTIGATE THE MATTER.

JAIS was come under heavy fire for conducting the raid. But, they have all the videos, the evidence showing the prostelization of muslim did happened at time.

Sultan as the protector of Islam wanted to perform his duty and exercise his rights under the Constitution asked JAIS and Selangor State Government to pass a report on the raid.

Sultan said based on the report there was indeed an attempt to proteslyze the Muslim and since there is not enough evidence the murtadz will not be charge.

Prof Aziz said Sultan action is against what he called "a norm" "not common" and he also said it is "not according to the Islamic guideline".

Ok. Let see...

Sultan exercised his rights and performed his duty as enshrined in the constitution.

Heck, i don't think he really performed his duty in protecting Islam. He even let these Murtadz and those who try to prostelyzed them get away with it.

Is that what a protector do? Protector of Islam do? Letting the Murtadz getz away scotts free after they clearly violates the law, lying to everyone and accused JAIS of raiding the church illegally?

after all the evidence being produce and heck there's even a video about an ex-Muslim giving a testimony about why they live islam during the function at DUMC.

The evidence is enough. Circumstantial and corroborative. Enough to charge this people in the court of law. But, the Sultan still too soft on it.

and Aziz Bari also said, what Sultan did is not common and not according to Islam?

Of coz la not common Prof. This is the first case that ever arises. There is no such case like this before. Of coz la not common. There is no precedent.

and not according to Islam?

This one i have to agree. It is not according to Islam, because if according to Islam, Sultan should imposed hudud on them.

That's all.

I disagree with Aziz Bari statement. But to suspend him is a no no.

and for those who blindly support Aziz Bari, they should realize eventho Aziz Bari is correct. He's not alway right. Don't blindly support him, look at the core issue. Look at the bigger picture that involves here.

I watched hidden cities last night. They covered hidden cities in Malaysia.

There's not much to cover in Malaysia. Because we don't have much civilization in the past. We don't have all those underground cities, prisons, temples, castles and fortresses. We don't have that kind of thing.

Probably back then most of our building were made from woods so it doesnt last long. Heck, why should they made it from bricks, clay and whatnot when woods and timber are abundant in Malaysia? They should just utilize whatever they have at hands rite?

and who needs underground cities and temples?

Anyway, what really struck me when i watched hidden cities is when they covered Kellie's castle. Especially when a local meleis claims that there is an underground dungeon and temple under the Castle. The local pak cik claims there is a folklore saying a hindu temple was built under the Castle.

and he actually led them (the History Channel crews) to the (claim to be) an entrance to the temple. The entrance is like a narrow passage that look like a stairway that go straight underground. But the entrance has been buried.

to my astonishment the passage looks nothing less than a few staircase going down to a "Jamban" (around 20 - 30 years ago, People in Malaysia built their toilet outside the house, it is usually located few metres back outside thei house)

as i suspected Hidden Cities crews suggested to dig, unearth and open the passage. So they did just that. After a few staircases, they find a platform and at the middle of the platform is a hole.

I was laughing as hard as i could, as it really is a "jamban", the Pak Cik managed to fool Hidden Cities crew. But, the crew still optimistic by saying that they might be a Hindu Temple and Dungeon under the hole.

It find it really funny and at the same time i pity the crew. They came here to cover historical sites in Malaysia.

I felt really embarrassed with what the Pak Cik did.

Hello kidz!

I told you earlier in my previous posts, if im not a lawyer, if i did not read law, I will become a historian. Historian?

Yes. A Historian.

Because history fascinates me.

Because it runs in the family.

I consider my father a historian. Tho he was a high ranking (Jusa) government officer, he took up History during his time in University. All my life, my father never fail to fascinate me with history. How so? Everytime he opened up, he talked he always linked it up to the history. For example :

1) I asked him about AMBANK. What does AMBANK stands for?

Usually people will just reply , it is Arab-Malaysian Bank.. instead he keep telling me everything.

The history of Ambank.

From the time Ambank was established by Arabs and Malays to the rise of Azman Hashim as the Executive Chairman.

He is that good with history. My sister and I always called him Mr.Know-it-All.

Because he does know it all. Every last detail of history on almost everything. I bet if i asked the history of Mat Sabu, he might know every last detail of Mat Sabu.

2) There was a time I asked him about a burnt out "kilang papan" at Sentul area. To my suprised he could tell me when the Kilang Papan starting its operation, what happened there and why it went kaput.

3) A tragic story of a "Kuih Seller" and "Nasi Lemak Seller" that lived next my former secondary secondary school. He also know it. He did tell me the history of these people. These guys started of rich but end up poor. It really was a tragic story. But, my father never stopped to amaze me..

everytime we walked, we shopped, we go eat together-gether, he will tell the history of that particular shop, restaurant and even the road we are using...

4) When we were eating Nasi Kandar at Restaurant Kudu, he told me the restaurant was frequent by P.Ramlee back in the day. This was because P.Ramlee used to have a Panggung nearby.

5) While eating Nasi Kandar he would told me that Nasi Kandar back in the day was carried (atau Kandar) by Penangites..by Nasi Campur seller. That's why it was called Nasi Kandar. Nasi Kandar used to be a very simple dish. Usually those who ordered Nasi Kandar will order Ikan Kempung Goreng, Kuah Kari and Bendi. That's all. They sellers will usually sell the Nasi to those who works at Penang Port. The Nasi Kandar was really cheap back then compared to Nasi Kandar these days.

Ayam Goreng, Ayam Kicap, Ayam Masala , Kari Kambing and Kari Kepala are all not an original nasi kandar punya lauk.

6) During the time we were shopping at Mydin Jalan Chow Kit. He told me that Jalan Chow Kit, was formerly known as BATU ROAD or Jalan Batu. It was renamed during the time of Mahathir..

or during our journey going back to Kampung last week..

7) If we going back to Kelantan, he will tell the whole Family that Kelantan was ruled by 3 different dynasties back then... The dynasties were.. Raja Long, Puteri Saadong and Raja Jembal. Keturunan Raja Long is the latest dynaties which is the current Kelantan Royal Family.

While Raja Jembal is a dynasty that lost a war to Puteri Saadong government.

Nik Aziz is one of the descendent of Raja Jembal.

The chauvinist, the racists, the hatemongers = Politician came out with a suggestion that we should not celebrate Merdeka Day, some of them even question the validity of Hari Merdeka. They said Malaysia should not celebrate 31st August a.k.a Independence Day as Malaysian was not born on 31st August 1957. Malaysia only formed on 16th September 1963. After the joining of North Borneo (Sabah), Sarawak and Singapore (which later received the axe by Tunku).

These chauvinist @ racists @ hatemongers = Politician stirred some shit by saying that it is ufair to Sarawak and Sabah as they were not a part of Malaysia during our Independence Day. They did stirred some shits and caused a dissatisfaction among East Malaysia people. Hence they suggest we should only celebrate Hari Malaysia on September 16th.

What a dumbshit argument. This chauvinist @ racists @ hatemongers = Politician are so proud with the west yet they are going against their idols. Take US for example. They declared their independence on the 4th of July. Back then, there were only 13 states. The formation of US was not complete until 180 years later where Hawaii joined them as the 50th States. For generations our people were made subject and slave to those who colonised. Our forefathers fought for it.

That is what Merdeka Day is all about. To remember. To not forget what we used to be. So, we appreciate the freedom we are enjoying right now.

As I was browsing through Malaysian Bar website reading comments and news on the appointment of new CJ, i come across a an article talking about how to insult Islam in Malaysia. The article was first publish in http://www.thenutgraph.com/ . The content of the article.. of course anti-malay, anti-islam and written with a clear political intention. It says everything from the recent DUMC apostate having buka puasa feast at Church to the very tiny Yoga issue.

Im as always never understand this Non-Muslim as they always wanted to interfere into Muslim matters. No matter what. The laws, by-laws, regulations and prohibitons are never imposed on them but them as always are so fiercely against it. They claimed they fought for the Muslims who does not want to abide by Muslim laws and Muslim who wanted to leave Islam. I say... what? What bull shit are you people talking about? Hellllloooo go back to 2008 please. Remember Kartika's case? You guys are so against the Shariah Law being imposed towards Kartika's who was caught drinking wine. She wanted herself to be whipped according to Islamic Law. It was her wills. It is what she wants. But this so-called-human-rights-champions still go against it. What happens to her rights? Leaving Islam (or Murtad) is one thing. Becoming a Murtad and then insults your former religion is another. There is a particular group in Facebook who called themselves "Apostates in Singapore and Malaysia" who claimed themselves as a people who uphold Freedom of Religion. The infamous murtads among them is Hajjah Sitt Al-Wuzarra or Adlin Bt Abdul Jalil.

This group, they have a very peculiar or strange attitude. Usually when a person converted to another religion or leave their old faith. They usually wont insult their fomer religion. Most of the time when they preach they will only say.. there are too many questions that remain unanswered by the former faith. That's it. This new convert (usually those who convert to Islam) will exhibits calm, serene and a very peaceful attitude. They seems to be really compose. They choose their words carefully when they talking and the words usually very beautifully arranged.

However, the Murtads group, you will find the discussion to be really inappropriate, really insulting and i can guarantee that one will find the group to be nothing more than a bunch of hatemongers who spewing hates. Viles inappropriate words, obscenity and insults were used in every sentence. Islam's were describes in a very obscenes and insulting manner.

They claimed themselves to uphold the Freedom of Religion. They talking about rights. I will say it is a pure bullshit. Because with rights comes responsibility. I do not think they are responsibile enough. Since they leave Islam and then they maliciously insults Islam in a way that will offends the Muslim.

Hatemongering towards Islam is quite common in the internet. U'll find it everywhere. So, I am not suprised by it. But, i found it to be strange and peculiar. Subsidies

I met a friend this morning.

He told me about the government plan to remove all subsidies

and he also asked me about my take on that particular issue.

Well, I have to say i am no economist. I don't know much about economic. It's not really my thing...

But, somehow it's kinda interesting when Idris Jala said Malaysia will be bankrupt by the year 2019 if Malaysia does not remove all subsidies.

He does has a point by the way.

According to him ( his assumption of coz ) Malaysia will be kaput by 2019 because our GDP growth does not match our debt annually.

Our GDP growth for the last ten years is about 3% to 5% per annum.

But.

Our Debt for the last ten years is about 8% to 10% per annum.

Meaning we spent money more than we can afford. Thus, we borrow money.

To make it easier for you to understand, let me give an example..

it is like...

your salary is about RM 2500 per month, but you expenditure is about RM 5000 per month.

Meaning you spend more than you afford. So.. you have to borrow money.

SO...

According to Dato' Idris Jala... IF this situation keep going on and on and on... we will become a bankrupt nation by 2019. Note the word "IF" ok..

I do not know whether to agree with him or not, because i don't have all the facts and figures. I don't have the statistic and what not. I need to know all of that before i can agree or disagree.

But one thing for sure. IF, his predictions or assumption is true..

I probably agree with the idea of withdrawing all the subsidies...

BUT! With certain conditions :

1. The remove of subsidies must be gradually done. Step by Step. Level by Level. It must also be done with clear explaination to the people why the particular subsidy should be remove.

2. Proper mechanism must be used. The remove of subsidies must be properly planned. If not, it will cause a lost of chaos. Please refer to Syed Akbar Ali blog for more information.

3. GOV MUST STOP GIVING HAND TO CRONY. I don't understand... AIR ASIA is given another 5 years tax exemption from the government. The tax exemption is about 60% of the whole profit.. and the most suprising part is recently AIR ASIA has recorded a pre-tax profit at about RM200 million in the first quarter alone!! That would be almost RM 1 billion in a year!!! and from what i understand AIR ASIA still owes Petronas and MAS hundred of millions of ringgits..... so what's with the hand?

why giving YOUR CRONIES SUBSIDIES??

i thought when you said ALL SUBSIDIES must be withdrawn means ALL SUBSIDIES must be withdrawn?

You want to menyusahkan the common rakyat and makes the FAT DATUK's FATTER ke?

4. STOP GIVING THE FAT DATUK's AP's!!!!! This is what we called MONOPOLY. This AP's only increasing the cost.

Why we must pay the highest prices for foreign cars? Because some FAT DATUK's is making money by holding an AP's license.

5. STOP THE MONOPOLY BY THE FAT DATUKS!!! Do you know what? The garbage collector, ALAM FlORA, the ASTRO's, the toll at the highway PLUS and shits like that.. All of them are the monopolizer..

6.STOP ALL THE CORRUPTION!!...Now we have this new habits of buying weapon. According to Syed Akbar Ali, the Malaysia government just announced at Singapore that we are buying 5 navy ships.

and guess what... It is not an open tender, we don't know how much commission do we have to pay to the third party and what not. This involves hundred of millions of ringgits.

THE GOVERNMENT HAS TO BE TRANSPARENT.

Just tell me.. why does the rakyat's has to bear the burden just to make some Datuk's fatter?

AND IF NOT..

Tho the seat is traditionally won by BN, we finally lost it to DAP.

Howerever it is no big surprise for me.

I have already expected it from the very beginning.

The indication that BN will lost more seats in Sabah and Sarawak during the next General Election. Particularly the seats in the city or any Chinese majority area.

For me the Chinese votes is a lost cause. Its a gone case. It will be very dificult to gain those votes back.

I've been saying the same things over and over again to my friends that it is no used of trying to win the chinese votes back.

4. Jadi sekiranya BN mampu tarik sokongan kesemua BUMIPUTERA (MELAYU + NATIVE OF SABAH and SARAWAK ) yang membentuk 62% populasi di Malaysia ni mungkin BN masih boleh lagi memerintah.

5. Semua pemimpin BN mesti confront face to face segala dakyah dan fitnah daripada pihak pembangkang. Mesti buat penjelasan. Must come clean dan also look clean. SEBAB POLITIC SEKARANG NI BERGANTUNG PADA PERSEPSI.

Ini akan memencilkan "orang cina" dalam perjuangan "malaysian malaysia" diorang. Strategy ini dipanggil pecah dan perintah. Bila "Orang Cina" sorang2 dalam perjuangan malaysia. Diorang akan slowly berpecah dan meninggalkan dan abondan perjuangan. Alasan untuk tidak memasukkan orang cina dalam DEB ialah diorang mostly dah kaya. Simple. Buktinya material lagi. Look around you.

Of Religion and Race

I have long fear that this country will plunged into another 13th May. A full blown chaos, murder and genocide that took place almost 40 years ago as a result of hatred and races bigotry.

Now, the fear seems to be an indication for me that this country will get into something that is a lot worse...

RELIGIOUS BIGOTRY.

Some people told me.. Politician is a pig. They are not human. They are greedy, heartless and most of all selfish.

It really caught my attention when i received an information saying that the DAP's are using religious sentiment in Sibu By-Election.

Sarawak and Sabah are well-known for their harmony and tolerance between all religious belief. It is no big deal for them to accept each other tho you are from difference race, religion and creed.

But now, the DAP are going in with a mission to destroy that. To destroy the religious harmony that has been built for generations.

The DAP's there are using churches, forums and whatever means necessary to stir hate among the christians in Sarawak. They cranked up "Religious Hatred" to get votes.

This is no suprise as they already spewed "race hatred" to get votes in peninsular. They already done it years and years ago. If you read chinese newspaper, almost everyday they will try to stir those hatred. They will question everything, from the Malay's rights and privilleges to the position of Islam in Malaysia.

But, to cranked up "religious hatred"? in a place where this thing are most precious and most valuable?

They really have stood to new low. This is something that is unforgiven.

I think i would like to second my friends oppinion on..

Yes. They are not human. What kind of man would pit one man against another man?

Budak Bijak

Waktu aku dekat kelantan haritu aku pergi rumah mak sedara aku. Pegilah. Lepak-lepak dekat situ.

Jadi kami semua duduk dekat family hall. Aku baca paper. Akak aku main dengan anak mak sedara aku. Budak ni umur dia dalam 7 tahun tak silap aku. Nama dia Anne.

Tiba-tiba je kakak aku pergi tanya budak kecik tu soalan cepumas.

Kakak aku : Anne, abang Fariz hensem tak?

Aku macam terkejut jugak la waktu dia tanya soalan macam tu dekat budak kecik. Tapi aku remain cool je. Malas nak melenting.

Anne : Hensem!!

Lepas akak aku dengar je jawapan Anne. Dia bantai gelak macam nak terkeluar segala soto yang dia makan tengah hari tadi.

Kakak aku : Hensem? Kenapa Anne cakap abang Fariz hensem?

Anne : Sebab Abang Fariz kan lawyer. Jadi lawyer mestilah hensem.

Akak aku bantai gelak lagi lepas dengar jawapan Anne. Aku tak tau apa yang nak terkeluar dah kali ni dari dalam perut dia.

Kakak aku : Tapi Abang Fariz belum betul-betul jadi lawyer. Dia belum cukup syarat lagi untuk jadi lawyer.

Anne : Ye ke? Kalau macam tu. Abang Fariz ok ok je la. Ngeeee ( Sengih )

Walau macam mana pun pada aku Anne ni tetap seorang budak yang bijak.

Kenapa?

Yerlah. Paling kurang pada dia lawyer, doctor, engineer la yang hensem. Dia tak tengok pada paras rupa. Dia tengok pada security. Umur dia baru 7 tahun. Kira bijak la kan budak umur 7 tahun boleh berfikiran macam tu.

Baru je kembali dari tanah haram.

Lepak situ for few days. Tapi korang jangan salah faham. Sebab aku bukan pergi umrah ke haji ke apa.

Sebab aku baru balik dari Kelantan.

Kelantan kan Serambi Mekah. Alaaa...Mekah? Tanah Haram? Geddit geddit?

ahhhh.. forgetaboutit.

Jadi. Kalau dah pegi Kelantan. Kau nak buat Umrah pejadahnya dekat situ? Tak pasal-pasal kena tangkap dengan Jabatan Agama sebab buat ajaran sesat. Sapa yang susah? Bapak akuuuuuu jugak yang susah. Sebab nanti kena jamin aku. Kena upah lawyer. Kena keluar duit. Sebab mak mana duit nok. Mak menggangur lagi ni... hahaha.

Baiklah. Enough merapu.

So since, aku dah dekat Kelantan for quite a few days, i had to move around Kelantan lah. Jalan-jalan cari makan. Jumpa orang tu. Jumpa orang ni. Jumpa nok yang tu. Jumpa nok yang ni.

One thing aku perasan. Dalam banyak-banyak nok yang aku jumpa, perbualan sentiasa berkisar disekitar masalah Kelantan Royal Household.

I have to say, apa yang aku tahu from few sources yang dekat dengan Istana kelantan. I will definitely takes my hats off for Kelantan Regent. Tengku Muhammad Faris Petra.

Aku tak boleh nak cakap banyak or disclose any of the information dalam blog ni , kerana kita sebagai rakyat biasa perlu menghormati pihak Istana Kelantan.

dan aku sangat berharap semoga pihak Istana Kelantan dapat menyelesaikan krisis dalaman mereka secara baik dan secepat mungkin.

Kerana krisis istana adalah tidak baik untuk kesejahteraan rakyat. Kerana sejarah dan lagenda telah membuktikan krisis dalaman istana hanya membawa kerugian kepada rakyat.

Kebanyakkan negeri di Tanah Melayu jatuh ke tangan penjajah, mostly disebabkan krisis dalaman Istana. Walaupun sekarang kemungkinan untuk perkara tersebut berlaku sekali lagi adalah hampir mustahil.

Anyway, aku masih ingat lagi dulu waktu Kakak aku kahwin pada tahun 2008. Kami sekeluarga kena pakai sedondon. Jadi aku kena pakai baju melayu lengkap warna putih emas. Tugas aku pada hari tersebut adalah berdiri depan arch untuk sambut tetamu. Cara nyer kau bagi senyuman fake, salam dan buat sedikit small talk.

Apa yang aku tak boleh lupa. Ada satu rombongan dari Kelantan ingat aku ni dari Kelantan Royal Household. Mak datuk. Malu jugak la aku waktu tu.

The other day i went for breakfast at my favourite spot . Nasik Lemak Pokok Ketapang.

Located under 1 huge ketapang tree. Hence, the name.

Then bumped into this one particular Mak Cik. Kenal dia sejak kecik lagi.

Mak Cik : Ah..Fariz.. long time no see. Apa habaq? lama tak dengar cerita na....

Aku : Ye mak cik.. Sihat je mak cik. Tengok badan laa.... (besar dan berisi ).. mana ada lama tak jumpa mak cik... baru kelmarin kot jumpa mak cik.. mak cik ni pung satu la..

Mak Cik : Owh ye ke.. sorry la Mak Cik ni pelupa.. Fariz dah grad kan?

Aku : Ha ah la.. kan saya dah bitau mak cik kelmarin..

Mak Cik : Fariz study kat UIA kan dulu??

Aku : Ha ah la.. ( monologue dalaman : kan kelmarin dah bitau !!! adoilaaaaa..... mak cik.. mak cik..)

Speech by Tun Daim Zainuddin

I just can't help it. The speech is too inspiring. It is an extremely gratifying read. His story about falling and picking himself up and trying again is indeed inspiring.

According to blogger JebatMustDie, the speech was made back in June 2009 during a lecture series by past and presents leaders to young professionals. Tun Daim Zainuddin was invited and he gave one hell of a speech.

Jaguh Kampung, A Personal Perspective on Business Outside Malaysian Shores

Since my second retirement in 2001, I have accepted only one invitation to speak in Malaysia and that was in 2004.

So to accept this invitation, it took some serious thinking on my part. I have spoken many times overseas but at home I think people may be tired of hearing me talk all the time so as a retiree I should just keep quiet!

“I accepted this invitation because I have great faith in our young people. For us as a nation to grow and succeed in the future we need good leaders and you here are our leaders of tomorrow.

So, thank you Tengku Zafrul Aziz for inviting me. The topic you chose is interesting – Jaguh Kampung, A Personal Perspective on Business Outside Malaysian Shores.

Nowadays, the term Jaguh Kampung seems to suggest our failures. It dismisses our achievements and local successes. It portrays us as a failure overseas. It looks down upon us. It used to refer to sports, now it encompasses business.

I do not see anything derogatory about being a Jaguh Kampung, for how can you succeed globally if you have not achieved success even at home. It is here that you hone your skills, know of your strengths and weakness, make your mistakes and learn from them; it is here that you plant the seed of your success overseas. It is only negative when you are successful at home yet not able to translate the same success abroad. Why?

It has been argued that Malaysians are far too comfortable at home and therefore cannot stand the competition outside. For the Malays particularly it is said that we do not have the history of migrants who came in junks and sampans to make a new life in a new land; that we have no history of doing business and that there is no NEP overseas.

I don’t subscribe to such an argument. Many non-Malays fail too. Many non-Malays who have succeeded here with Government help have failed overseas. It has nothing to do with race and everything to do with ourselves. We have to see our own strengths and weakness to know why we succeed and why we fail. I have no sociological or anthropological thesis on this but I can tell you of my personal experience to illustrate, if that is of any help.

So, I guess I shall start from the beginning. I come from a small place called Lorong Kampong Padang in Kota Tanah, Seberang Perak, Kedah. Growing up I was confused, we had no padang, no kota (fort), no perak (silver)! It was a small kampong where everyone knew everyone. Yet this village produced 3 doctors, 2 veterinary surgeons, a dentist and may top civil servants. As far as I knew, they were no lawyers, yet my father kept urging me “Grow up to be a lawyer”.

Two of the three doctors were Dr Mahathir who married another doctor, and Dr Bakar who married Tan Sri Dr Salmah, the first female Malay doctor in the country. Amongst my schoolmates and seniors were Tan Sri Hanafiah Ahmad of Tabung Haji, Tan Sri Hanafiah Hussein, the first Malay Chartered Accountant, and Tan Sri Bakar Hamid, Head of Income tax. The list goes on.

The late Tun Zahir (Speaker of Parliament) helped me with my admission to Lincoln’s Inn. In London I was friends with other students some of whom went on to become Judges, Chief Justices, President of the Ct. of Appeal, Lord Presidents, top Civil Servants etc. I learnt politics from the likes of Syed Albar and even when back in Kuala Lumpur he would come to my house weekends and drive me around Kuala Lumpur introducing me to the whos who of Malay politics. Hussein Onn would tell me Malayan political history.

When I moved to Kelantan I got to know the various political leaders in PAS like Asri, Zulkifli and Wan Mustapha. In fact PAS was the first to offer me to stand for election. When I joined the Legal Service, I served in Johor and Perak and built up further my network of friends.

When I was in private practice I represented the Governor of Sarawak in the case of Stephen Kalong Ningkan. I was in Allen & Gledhill then and a very junior lawyer too but the senior partner asked me to do it as he thought that I was able to handle it as he considered me well read and thorough in my work plus he knew that I was well versed in the politics of the day. It was during this case that I got to know Tun Razak, Tun Rahman Yakob and Tan Sri Taib Mahmmud. At 28, I attended my first Cabinet meeting to brief the Cabinet on the case. I never thought that 18 years later I would be attending it weekly.

Tengku Razaleigh and Manan Othman for reasons known to themselves, recommended to Hussein Onn that I be appointed a Senator. Suddenly people wanted to find out who this Daim was. Manan when he was Minister of Public Enterprise, put me on Board of UDA as I was recognized as a successful property developer then and later made me chairman of Peremba. When Tun Mahathir became PM, he appointed me as Chairman of Fleet Group. Tan Sri Sanusi made me Chairman of Rakyat First Merchant Bank. In 1984, Tun Mahathir made me Minister of Finance.

It is from all these people that I learnt so much and who had in some way or the other helped me in my professional, business and political life.

I was also a busy body and had an opinion on everything. I was there when Tan Chee Koon, Lim Chong Eu and Syed Hussein formed Parti Gerakan. I took part in the debate on the issue of Bahasa Kebangsaan and had friends who alerted me that I was to be arrested under the ISA on the issue. I wrote letters to the Prime Ministers in office, offering them my 2 cents worth, the advice unasked and often ignored but that did not deter me.

I started my private practice with some savings and a RM60k loan from MARA. I furnished my office frugally and spent the rest on the stock market. When May 13 came I almost lost the shirt on my back. I learnt there and then that the stock market is not a casino for me to gamble in but that investment has to be made through informed choices. Later when I decided to go back to the market I only invested in quality and strategic stocks.

Before I could invest in these quality stocks I had to make money to pay off my debts. Luckily I had my practice; but the need to succeed was too strong for me to remain purely a lawyer. Not one to give up, I decided to go into business. I invested in a salt making business – everyone needs salt right? well, an unseasonal storm washed that away! I went into many businesses that didn’t do too well, until I decided to go into property development. I approached Dato Harun Idris then MB of Selangor for a piece of an abandoned, disused mining land. I paid the premium for it and finally was on the road to success. It was not easy going. It would have been easier if it was a piece of flat estate land, instead I had manylakes to be filled before I can build.

But if it had been easy then I’m not sure I would have learnt the lessons that failure teaches you. Failure is a great teacher if you are willing to learn. My tenacity was my strength. I never gave up. As Churchill said “Success is not final and failure is not fatal. It is the courage to continue that counts”. I stumbled, picked myself up and continued.

By the time I was in my mid thirties I was a millionaire. With the money I made I went looking for my strategic stakes not only in the stock market but also in properties. By the time I join the Cabinet I was the shareholder of Raleigh Bhd (a name famous worldwide for its bicycle, made since 1887) Raleigh had shares in Prudential and had landed properties and another listed company. I bought into UEP which had a 1,400 acre land bank which I later reversed into SIME for shares, making me the single largest shareholder of SIME then. I also had a Joint Venture with the State Government of Kedah to develop 2,000 acres of converted land. Maluri also JV’ed with PNB to develop 600 acres of land in Kajang. I had a housing estate in Malacca. My land bank was massive. I was also a founding shareholder and chairman of TV3. I was also the largest individual shareholder in Nestle, and in Jaya Jusco. I had 4 factories in Malacca producing cast iron, plastic, packaging and preserved foods. I also invested in a haulage company. I also had a stake in UMBC Bank. I’m telling you all this not to show off and impress you but to share with you my journey.

When I was asked by Dr Mahathir to join the Government I had to think very carefully. I knew it will be a sacrifice on my part to take the offer but then this would not be the first time I have been asked to sacrifice in the name of national interest. When I had the opportunity to increase my share in SIME to 30% Dr. Mahathir heard about it and asked me not to take it up as it would be better to be given to PNB. When UMNO youth objected to MCA buying shares in UMBC, MCA approached me to exchange my controlling shares in Malaysian French Bank for a non controlling stake in UMBC. I was not keen to give up control in one for non-controlling in another, further I had to borrow as I was buying into a bigger bank, but the government insisted on the exchange for economic and political stability. By the time the deal was completed I was made MoF and later had to sell my stake. The government insisted that I can only sell to a Bumi or Bumi company and at cost too! I had much higher offers from non Bumis and could have made money on this sale but I have no choice. On top of it all, I had to pay tax on the sale too!

As I said earlier, it was a sacrifice on my part. Joining the Government also meant that I would have to give up my business. I was rich and answered to no one. I was carefree and wanted to enjoy the fruits of my labour. I had my privacy which I value highly. It was a difficult decision to make. I took more than a month to think it over. Whilst I would sacrifice a life of greater wealth, there is more to life than making money and more money. At some point you have to look beyond material wealth and personal interest. In the end the call to serve was made, partially because growing up my father had always drummed it into my head that there was no better calling than to be serving the government. That to be of service is an honour. And he also thought that I should be Prime Minister. In fact when I was appointed MoF and I told him, he replied “bukan PM?”!! Obviously he thought very highly of me.

There has been bouquets and brickbats, but I did not take the job to win a popularity contest. National interest comes first and in the end, you have to do what you think is best for the nation. Joining the government has brought me immense satisfaction to see the economy succeed from an agrarian economy to an industrialised economy. If I had not joined the government I would have been far richer in wealth but so much poorer in experience. If there is any regret, it is regret for the loss of my privacy.

I couldn’t have done all this on my own. The friends I knew, the network I built was very useful. You cannot be successful if you are a hermit staying in your house watching TV after work. Whether its through school, work or sports, there is always an opportunity to meet people. Networking, building relationships, what the Chinese called “quan xi”, is important in business – you never know who you meet may be your guardian angel in disguise. Of course I’m not suggesting that you make friends for an ulterior motive – if you are not sincere, people can see through you. If you use people, it can only work once or twice before you lose your reputation and that, if once lost cannot be recovered.

Whenever I travel and meet people I would always write to them, to thank them, to keep in touch, to invite them over etc. So wherever I went I always knew someone or the other. But mix with like minded people. Your so called friends can lead you astray. As I have said earlier,networking is very important but is of no use when all you do with your network of friends is to “omong-omong kosong”.

Saudara, Saudari / Ladies and Gentlemen

After retirement I had no ministry and no company to run. All my life I have been active and staying home doing gardening and playing golf did not appeal to me. So I went to the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard. I spent my time reading, meeting people, attending lectures. After a few months I was restless. I reassessed my situation – do I restart in Malaysia? If I did, and succeeded, my success would be questioned as I still had friends and contacts both in and out of Government. I had nothing to prove but I thought if I could succeed in Malaysia, maybe I could do so overseas. As I’ve said earlier Malays have been criticised that they can only succeed because of the NEP, I thought that I owe it to the Malays to prove otherwise.

In the course of my work as MoF I travelled and engaged with various people, government and non-government everywhere. I had visited Eastern Europe and was convinced that Russia could not hold on to them for very long.

In 1994 I started my banks in Republic of Czech and then Hungary, Albania, Bosnia. Whatever we may say of Russia, it left behind a very good education system and excellent infrastructure. Still, it was tough to do business there. There is the question of language and there was no experience of market economy. It was not easy to get Malaysians to work there and the locals were used to working for the government. We had to motivate them to work for profit, to understand that we go into business to make profit, profit to pay salaries, bonuses and to expand.

If Eastern Europe was tough, Africa was tougher. Why Africa? Its too long to go into but if you are interested I’ve given my reasons in a separate paper. Its with Tengku Zafrul. It was not easy for us to start in Africa. We were not Citibank or HSBC or Standard Chartered. Whilst most of the Governments in Africa knew me when I was MoF and I was involved in both the Smart Partnership and South-South Cooperation, nobody knew the Bank. Tun Dr. Mahathir’s name carries a lot of weight and Malaysia under him was held in high esteem. All these helped but we still had to prove ourselves and further we had to carry the burden of maintaining Malaysia’s good name. Failure was not an option.

Africa was tough. There was little discipline, most do not have the expertise nor the experience. The better ones had left and were in Europe or America. The pool to draw staff was small. If it was difficult to entice Malaysians to Eastern Europe, you can imagine what it was like to ask them to go to Africa!

We started from scratch. Fortunately for me, I had an excellent team who understood and shared my vision. The team you build is critical. You cannot do it alone.

My team were as determined as me to succeed. We had put our money there and our reputation and the country’s reputation were at stake. My team were motivated and prepared to sacrifice the comforts of home to blaze a trail there. It was pure team work and dedication that made it. Without a good team, no way would we be where we are today. Our banks have won many awards, particularly Euromoney’s Bank of the Year awards, some of them repeatedly. I am very proud of them. And I must add that we have a good reputation in Africa. Wherever I go and I meet Presidents, Prime Ministers, MoF, Governors of Central Bank of countries where we operate and where we don’t, they now know us and of us and are happy with us. They see that we have been fair and honest. We treat them as partners and equals. We train the locals and it is a measure of our success that our local staff are always in demand and poached by other financial institutions. We get a lot of requests to open up in their countries but we are limited by our resources. We cannot over-stretch ourselves and end up with quantity but not quality. Quality is of the utmost importance.

Today we have a presence in 10 countries in Africa and have also expanded our reach into Asia; Indonesia, Bangladesh, Laos, and are looking at other neighbouring countries. People must think that you have to be immensely rich to be in Europe, Africa and Asia, but that is not true. When we first started, the paid up for each bank was only US$2 million. Today a European bank’s paid up must be at least Euro 5 million, in Yemen for example, US$20 million, and in Nigeria US$100 million. With that kind of requirement, we had to reassess our business plans. We sold off Europe and with the proceeds decided to go to Asia.

In every business you start with a plan but the plan has to re evaluated, reassessed, and reconsidered at every turn. What works today may not necessarily work tomorrow. Facts change, operating conditions change and we must change with them. Business is not static and we cannot run on the spot.

I know I have gone on too much, boring you with my personal history. I should have just quoted my son’s one paragraph biography he wrote of me when he was in primary school: “My father was born in Kedah. He studied law and became a lawyer, then a businessman, then MoF twice. He is now retired and runs banks and does charitable work. He is a good father because he plays football with me.”

Seriously, though, what distinguish one who succeeds from one who fails? Everyone I’m sure starts out wanting success, but it has been said that success usually comes to those who were too busy to look for it. It is a sacrifice. You will have to defer immediate gratification and forgo leisure. You have to be the first to arrive and the last to leave. It really is hard work and nothing else. There is just no substitute for hard work. But you cannot work hard stupidly. You have to plan, execute the plan, change the plan when necessary to suit changing situations. As was said by Darwin – “It is not the strongest of the species that survive, nor the most intelligent, but the one that is most adaptable to change”. How do you know that the situation changes? You have to read, read and read. Read all the time. Be curious about the world around you. Try to keep up with the latest in technology and business, the latest trends and the geo political changes too. As an example, when I read that the French Government was nationalising its banks I realised that it would have to sell its bank in Malaysia as Malaysia then did not allow government owned banks to operate in Malaysia. I saw an opportunity here and decided to contact the French Government to take over the Indo-Suez Bank which I later renamed the Malaysian French Bank. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

It is also important that you take the opportunity to work in and learn from businesses that have been successful. It is no embarrassment to say you don’t know and to be aware of your own limitations. Never be too proud to learn from others. But on the other hand, do not follow blindly. If someone is successful at one thing it does not mean that you can too. You have to know yourself. It helps if you can do something that you love. As Confucius said “Choose a job that you love and you will never have to work a day in your life”. You have to be hands-on. No one is interested in your success except you. Its your money, and in most cases, borrowed money. You have to ensure your own success. You are your own best asset and the master of your own destiny, to make your own future. You have a choice to either work hard, remain committed, diligent, determined and disciplined or just buy a lottery ticket and hope to get rich overnight!

For the Malays particularly I say this to you – do not be afraid of competition. We are used to competing – we have other races to measure against, so there is no reason why we can’t succeed. Don’t believe in handouts, there is no such thing as a free lunch. Handouts do not test you and when faced with adversity, the price of that handout is failure.

For the Non-Malays, I say this to you – Do not accept any discrimination or perceived discrimination as an excuse for failure. See it as an obstacle to overcome and an opportunity to strengthen your resolve.
Do not fear the fear of failure. Do not fear to take chances. Do not fear of making mistakes that will shatter your confidence and fill you with doubts. You have to take a chance on life. When one door closes another opens but you have to look for that open door and not remain fixated on the closed door. Move on, you have done what you can. Learn from it and that will give you confidence in the next venture.

In your quest for success, be wary of making compromises; your values and beliefs will be tested. Have a clear conscience in what you do as you have to face the mirror everyday. Do not let praise go to you head nor criticism weigh you down. Have faith in yourself and faith in God. He will not let you down.

When you have achieved material successes, live simply and shun extravagance and arrogance. Do not lose all that you have achieved because you were resting on your laurels. What happens when that laurel wilts? Be humble and reach out to those less fortunate than you. Your success is an obligation and a responsibility to your society and it is only when you give back to society that you are truly successful.

1. If you are a car thief. Make sure you are A HARDCORE CRIMINAL and ask the police to beat you up and make sure they beat the crap out of you until you no longer breathing. Or better yet let the police shot you dead. Then after you are dead.

I can guarantee those Pakatan Rakyat goons will be all around and hail you as a hero.
There will be a candle light virgil and also a hero goodbye. All your crimes and wrong deeds will never be recorded and remembered. The only thing that they will remember is YOU ARE A HERO.

2. If you are a slut. Make sure you are a slut for those FIGURE HEAD in Government. Make sure you have a scandal with those people to the extend you are pregnant. Then you can go around threatening and blackmailing to expose the scandal. Then.. if you are lucky, you will be killed and blown to pieces.

I can guarantee you Pakatan Rakyat goons will be all around you and hail you as somekind of a "Sri Kandi" or something. You will not be remember as a SLUT, because they already hail you as a Warrior Queen or something.

3. If you are a drug dealer. Make sure you get caught. Then asked your sister to blog around and tell other people how you are victimized by the police and how the police has actually frame you. Remember to do this without even a shred of evidence that the police has victimize you ok..

4. If you are sodomist. Don't worry. Tell everyone it is a conspiracy to bring you down.

I have to say. At first, I'm a bit reluctant to comment on the recent incident where a cop accidentally shot 15 year old school boy in Shah Alam. It will be a bit controversial and people might end up salah faham dengan view aku.

However, since there are too many anti-police Facebook pages has been launched with a clear intent to stir the situation and also attack the very outfit of Royal Malaysian Police Force. I decided what the heck.. I'm doing it anyway.

First, let me tell you this.

The police who "accidentally" shot a 15 year old boy should be punished for what he had done. Whatever the reason is...

there must be something wrong when a bullet hit a 15 year old boy at the back of his head.

and a "Royal Commission" should be established to further investigate this matter and ONLY this "Royal Commission" should INVESTIGATE. The parliament will play their role to make sure nothing fishy going on within the Commission. No cover-up. Nothing.

and WE as a normal citizen should stop speculating and bashing the Police Force.

Why? Because police had already show their commitment to further investigate the matter and will do anything necessary to punish the offender.

and WE as a normal citizen should at least show some respect on this regards.

We should not prejudge them. The police force they are human too. They are prone to make mistake.

So let the "Royal Commission" do their thing. INVESTIGATE.

I notice one thing about Malaysian. There's always a knee jerk reaction about everything.

We tend to bash everything without knowing the whole story.

The involvement of Rosmah's in Altantuya case for example. ( where it is proven she was somewhere else when the murder took place )

We must bear one thing in our mind..

bila kita point jari kita kat orang lain, ada sepuluh jari lagi yang point balik kat kita.

So, we cannot accused and blame other people sewenang-wenangnya.

"No. You cannot blame the parents. They already did everything they could. They cannot look after their children for 247. They need to do other things too.They are not the perfect parents. No parents are perfect and what not. You are not married. You don't have a teenage children. You don't know how they feel. You cannot judge them. You must put yourself in their shoe."

then i told him this..

"That exactly what i'm trying to say. The police. They are not the perfect police in the world. They are not perfect and they will never be. You are not a police. You never been into a situation where you have to chase a diliquents, a group of "samseng", pursuing a mat rempit. You don't know how they feel. You cannot judge them. You must put yourself in their shoe. Working as policemen is not easy you know. With a meagre pay. They have to work late at nite and i'm sure they are not a happy-trigger cop. There have to be a lot of confusion when it happened"

So.. Who are you to judge the police?

If you can judge the police.. I'm as well can judge the parent.

and i'm also can judge you for being a menggelabah mak nenek, biased and judgmental kind of person.

I think i am not stupid enough to wholly blame the poor policemen in a pursuit of upholding justice for a "boy-who-drove-a-car-without-a-licence-at-2am".

EMPATHY IS THE KEYWORD. Try to put yourself in their shoe.

Alhamdulillah...

Syukur ke hadrat Allah kerana telah memberikan kemenangan pada Barisan Nasional dalam PRK Hulu Selangor.

Walaupun tak mencapai KPI yang telah disasarkan oleh Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin iaitu kemenangan dengan majoriti sebanyak 5000 - 6000 undi. But, still 1000 lebih majority tu kira oklah. Not bad.

Aku tengok paper Utusan hari ni sebut pasal Dato' Seri Najib yang konon Dato' Seri Najib nak buat post mortem kenapa peratusan pengundi cina yang mengundi BN sangat rendah...

Pada aku reason kenapa percentage pengundi cina sangat kurang adalah simple :

1. Sebab calon PKR adalah Dato' Zaid Ibrahim
2. Sebab PKR janjikan benda2 yang BN takleh janjikan.

The arrest of Benjy ( a malaysian actor, famous during late 1990s and early 2000's) has caused much debate. Well not among the society, but among my friends in Facebook. Benjy's sister by the name of Elza Erdalyna, wrote a piece in her blog alleging there are abused of power by the police and she also urged everyone to walk with her and her brother in order to fight for her brother's right.

A lot of bashing towards malaysian police force.

Well, Firstly. I don't know, whether to support her or not. She can claim, alleged and accused Police to be anything..

But, she got nothing to prove her accusation. It's only her words.

I don't know her. I don't know her brother and I don't know her family. I don't know whether Benjy is the kind of guy that will take and distribute drug or not.

Hence. I don't have the liberty to believe her allegations...

What I know is this..:

I did my attachment at Ibu Pejabat Polis Kuala Lumpur back in 2009.

I followed them in many drug bust.

The modus operandi usually involving all kinds of intelligence. (Spying, Reconnaisance, Informer, Observation Post etc etc ).

Before they arrest a drug dealer they usually will gather enough information on the drug dealer. Enough evidence to have them charge in court.

For example: Where is their hideout, do they possess any weapon or not, if they do what kind of weapon and how many bullets they have, what kind of drugs they possess, how big the drug ring is..etc etc

this intelligence gathering took months.

and only then they will arrest the drug dealer.

So, what I'm trying to say is this.

The police. They arrest people. They arrest drug dealer based on credible information. Based on what they have in hand.

They don't just simply arrest criminal.

Thus, i believe they have enough evidence, information and reason to arrest Benjy's.

I don't see the reason why Police wants to frame Benjy and accused him for something that he doesn't do? Why would the Police wants to 'niaya' Benjy?

I just don't see it...

and probably because of ignorance she's even impliedly said the police trying to frame her brother on false charges..

On March 25th, he was brought to court, and charged under Section 12(2) for possession of 0.24grams of metaphetamin in his Segambut residence. Nothing the police claimed they found in the Kepong residence, the cocaine and shabu that was "already packaged to be distributed" or the so called "cocaine processing mini-lab" was brought to court.

Because there WAS none.

The public need to understand that, in practice, the evidence will not be brought during the reading of charges. It will only be brought during an actual trial. I hope someone can explain this to her. Coz, this misconception already led her to believed it wrongly.

and i hope people can always keep an open mind on this kind of thing. Coz lately public started to treat criminals like hero (read Kugan). I think this is wrong. This is soo wrong.

Arround 10 000 people attend PERKASA assembly. It was launched by Tun Dr Mahathir Mohammad.

Some people who know me. They surely asked why i didnt' attend the assembly.Well first i am in the middle of my final examination.

Secondly, as much as i adore Tun Dr Mahathir and Ibrahim Ali. I don't think Perkasa struggle suit me.

I don't see why I have to become a hardliner ( yes i see Perkasa as a hardliner ) in order to fight for my religion and race.

They must realise that no party can control the country without the Malay majority support. The same hold true for the non Malay party.

Though Malay have begin to support the opposition party and they could vote for opposition again. It took more than just anger to sustain those vote away from UMNO.

and by looking at our current circumstances. I don't think more vote will shy away from UMNO. The support already swing. Tho it looks kinda slow.

The answer is simple - Because we have endless appeal system. You can appeal until federal court and still if you are not satisfied.. you can ask the federal court to review the decision. If you are not satisfied with the review. You can appeal again, for them to review it again.

review, quash, reverse and overrule.

I was laughing out loud when i read the piece from Zaini Hassan on Alkisah India Di India dan India Di Malaysia. On Utusan of cause. I laugh not because it was funny. But, because the article speak the truth.

What fascinate me more, after a few days. Indian PKR leaders lodged a Police Report against Utusan and Zaini Hassan based on the article. Derogatory and insulting they say. This is done by those who advocate "free speeches". How ironic.

Well, I don't see anything derogatory or insulting in the article, except few harsh words being used such as "DKK" the shortform for "Darah Keturunan Keling" or "Indian Blood". I don't think it is against the law. As all written under the article are based on facts and loads of facts backed by writer own experienced.

I don't know what to say. I have nothing against Indian in Malaysia. But, the fact is they should be grateful being born in Malaysia and they should be proud of it. Stop comparing Malaysia with India. It is a stupid comparison. As Malaysia although only 60 year old.. the life of Indians in Malaysia is much better compare to hundred of millions of Indian in India.

I have never been to India. But, from my reading and from what I heard, Indian in Malaysia live a better life than most Indian in India.

For Example,

One of my Indian friend told me India is a shithole. A toilet. A sewer by definition. It is literally a shithole. I ask why would he said such a terrible thing like that? He said shit and piss was all over the place. Then he gave me an example.It was during Rajiv Gandhi hold a tenure as a PM in In India.

When Rajiv Gandhi "turun padang" to look after the people. He has to wear wellington's boot. A fishmonger rubber boots. This is to prevent himself from stepping on piss and shit all over the place.

India is a terrible country. There are 600 millions indians who does not have toilet inside their home. Meaning there are 600 millions indians craps outside their home everyday.

So, he said India literally a shithole.

In Malaysia. India has found paradise. Malaysia is a heaven. Even the poorest India can still get three meals a day. They get to wear good clothes, the get to be good professionals and more importantly they can shit indoors. Under the roof. There is no need for them to shit outside their houses.

Yet Indian in Malaysia is screwing up. They made good gangsters and rabid criminal. They even linked themselves with terrorist group in Sri Lanka.

Sedar tak sedar aku dah berada di semester akhir.

Sungguh cepat masa berlalu. Rasa macam baru semalam masuk main camp.

Disaat ni rasa keinsafan meresap masuk ke dalam diri aku. Aku masih ingat lagi dalam kelas banking semester lepas.

Dr. Shamsar Kamar ada bagi kami hadith2 nabi, ayat2 qur'an dan juga kata-kata hikmah daripada Ulama'.

Tapi. Yang paling menarik perhatian aku dan yang paling aku ingat sekali adalah pesanan daripada Imam Al-Ghazali. Pesanan yang disulami persoalan dan teka-teki. Mendalamnya kesan soalan tesebut pada aku. Sampai aku boleh ingat setiap butiran dalam pesanan tersebut. Secara jelas. Sampai sekarang.

History Channel telah menayangkan rancangan yang bertajuk Mahathir. Rancangan tersebut terbahagi kepada part 1 and part 2.

Disebabkan asik sebok memanjang. Aku cuma sempat tengok ulangan kedua-dua part je.

Sebagai seorang yang menyanjungi Tun Dr Mahathir, sudah pasti aku sangat berbangga kerana orang luar sanggup buat rancangan khas berkenaan dengan Tun Dr. Mahathir.

Aku percaya Tun Dr.Mahathir tidak perlu pergi ke luar negara untuk lobi mereka supaya buat rancangan tentang beliau. Beliau bukan seperti Anwar Berahim yang pergi merata dunia dengan misi memburukkan Malaysia dan menjanjikan orang luar macam-macam perkara. Tun Dr. Mahathir tak perlu ke luar negara minta orang luar menyenaraikan dirinya sebagai "100 pemimpin yang itu ini" "100 orang yang itu ini" "300 orang yang itu ini"..bla bla bla

Beliau bukan begitu. Beliau tak gila kuasa. Tak gila glemer. Beliau ikhlas dalam memimpin rakyat.

Oklah. Sepanjang aku menonton rancangan tersebut aku perhatikan ada perkara yang ironik dan karma berkenaan dengan Tun Dr. Mahathir.

Ironik 1 :

Dalam part 1 Dr Mahathir mengatakan bahawa beliau teringin nak melanjutkan pelajaran dalam bidang undang-undang. Beliau bercita-cita untuk menjadi seorang peguam.

Setelah beberapa tahun pemerintahan beliau. Beliau menjadi tidak popular dikalangan peguam atau pengamal undang-undang. Ini boleh dilihat melalui komen2 negatif dan kesat yang telah dilontarkan oleh bekas presiden Majlis Peguam (Param Cumarasamy) didalam rancangan tersebut.

Ironik 2 :

Beliau dilabel sebagai Ultra-Malay. Dikatakan extremely racist oleh orang bukan Melayu terutamanya orang-orang cina yang diketuai pembangkang seperti Lee Kwan Yew.

Dalam Part 2 Dr.Mahathir kata setelah beliau meletakkan jawatan, ramai yang datang berjumpa beliau dan kata mereka sangat-sangat berterima kasih pada beliau. Ada yang siap kata mereka adalah "product of the system". Kebanyakkan daripada mereka terdiri daripada "Orang cina".

Yang Karmanya...

Pada tahun 1970-an beliau telah dipecat daripada UMNO oleh Tunku Abdul Rahman. Selepas Tun Abdul Razak ambil alih jawatan presiden dalam UMNO beliau memanggil semula Tun Dr.Mahathir untuk join UMNO.

Pada tahun 2008 Tun Dr Mahathir telah meninggalkan UMNO di bawah kepimpinan Tun Abdullah Badawi. Apabila Najib yang merupakan anak kepada Tun Abdul Razak ambil alih jawatan presiden dalam UMNO, beliau join semula UMNO..

itulah yang dikatakan takdir Allah ataupun Karma.

I don't care how good the actors are, how good the scripts are and how damn good the cinematography and what so ever.

When you make a war movie (Like based on a real war) You should make a war movie.

Inglorious Basterds is a distortion of history. A misrepresentation of fact. American-Centric war movie.

People told me it is a good war movie.

Well for me..

Saving Private Ryan is a real war movie, Valkyrie is a real war movie, Patton is a real war movie, Battle of the Bulge is a real war movie, Big Red One is a real war movie, Tora!Tora!Tora! is a real war movie, Apocalypse Now is a real war movie.

Nostradamus was the one who predicted 2012 as a doomsday. Not the Mayans. It is people who speculate 2012 as the doomsday based on Mayan calender which end up at 2012.

I don't know what will happen if the galactic alignment do happen in coming 2012.

For me. 2012. Is a total rubbish. That's all. It is stupid and it is the biggest insult to my intelligence. Even if i watch it for fun, I still think it is stupid. Waste of time and money.

'GEORGE TOWN: Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Musa Hassan has been urged to direct his men to stop interrogating witnesses outside office hours. Bukit Gelugor MP Karpal Singh said that if the interrogation was allowed, it would be in contempt of a High Court judgment. Karpal Singh was referring to the High Court landmark ruling on Thursday that the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission cannot interrogate witnesses beyond office hours'.

In the latest update, the High Court had came out with a ruling on Tan Boon Hwa application of suing the MACC for interrogating him outside office hour.

The High Court in a very shocking decision held that the interrogation made by MACC outside office hour was illegal.

I mean no disrespect and no contempt towards court decision. But the court ruling is somehow ridiculous and unacceptable. Laying down a very bad precedent, i hope the MACC will appeal and some reasonable judges will quash this fucked up precedent.

I have every mean to believe the judge residing the case is politically motivated to come out with a stupid ruling like that. I think his brain is stucked sumwhere up his ass.

And now the world biggest racist Karpal "Kapal Tenggelam" Singh maintained any interrogation conducted by law enforcement agency should not be made outside office hour.

Owh, hello old man, if that so, how on earth should the police do their works in cases involving immediate nature?

and you witness the kidnaping, you know where the kidnapper friends live and this friend probably know where the kidnapper hide Gobind.

"Sorry sir, we cannot question the wittness and investigate him rite away. Because it is already outside office hour and you yourself said that we must follow procedures.."

and b4 u know it, this tamil has crossed the border and hide Gobind Singh Deo somewhere in Southern Thailand. Rendering the police to be more powerless as it is already outside their jurisdiction.

Seperti biasa, bila jumpa dengan member yang sorang ni kami memang akan berborak pasal politik. Politik secara umum, Politik Malaysia khasnya.

Dia kata kat aku, bunyinya seperti menyindir

"Dekat *I" susah nak cari orang yang sokong UMNO"

Aku diam, aku tau mungkin dia tujukan kat aku. Aku rilek je la. Sebab bukan aku sokong UMNO pun. Aku orang berorientasikan issu dan aku cuma benci PR dan aku tak sokong UMNO.

Secara mudahnya.

Aku suka politik. Tapi aku tak sokong UMNO dan benci PR secara umum dan Anwar Ibrahim cum PKR khasnya. Kenapa? Tak perlulah aku terangkan kat sini. Kang tak tido aku kang.

Landslide victory for BN in Bagan Pinang.

I know it's a bit late for me to review the winning... but who cares?

Everywhere around the blogs, newspapers and all other information media attributed this winning to Tan Sri Isa.

They said it is the Isa Samad factor.

I am a bit disagree with the idea.

Yes. Isa Samad is a factor for BN wins.

But only one out of many factors.

I believed there are tonnes of other factors which leads to the winning including :

1. PAS rude, arrogant and violence attitude during the campaigning period.

2. The new Makkal Shakti party.

3. The aggressive campaign done by the BN election machinery.

4. Too much lies, spins, slanders and maki hamun by PAS.

I believed the main factor is the Local Factor. Whereby the local inhabitant of Bagan Pinang was reported to be "meluat" with the attitude of PAS supporters from outside Bagan Pinang.

Recently, well not recently.. it is quite for a long time now. People, are talking about the lack of Foreign Direct Investment entering Malaysia.

I am no Economist. Not even a fan of anything related to Economics. I took Economic subject during High School and I only managed to pass the subject. I did study hard during SPM for the subject but i only managed to got through the subjet. To only passed it. Not to score. Only managed to get minimum grade allowing me to get all credits for my SPM exam.

However, I will never totally disregard Economics.

For me Economies and Economics (for you information Economics is a knowledge in Economy) are an essential. It is a need for Human Life. To live a good life we need to have a good economic activities. A simple trading would become an economic activity. By trading human can simply improved their standard of life.

So. People are talking about the recent lacking of foreign direct investment towards Malaysia.

It is well-known that Malaysia cannot compete with the likes of China, Vietnam and not event Thailand and Indonesia.

Because of THEY HAVE MORE CHEAP LABOURS, MORE LAND AND MORE FACILITIES. WE DID GOOD DURING THE 70's,80's and 90's was because CHINA did not practice open market back then, they were having problem with the WEST ( they were communist and communists are hostiles towards the west ) and they were not Politically and Economically stabil back then.

AND SO DOES INDONESIA, THAILAND AND VIETNAM THEY HAD THE SAME PROBLEM BACK THEN AND NOW THEY HAVE SIMILAR ADVANTAGES.

MORE CHEAP LABOUR , MORE LANDS AND GOOD+FRIENDLY GOVERNMENT POLICY.

Why they have more cheap labours?

( Simply because they have more population than we do. China 4 billion people, Malaysia 27 million )

Why they have more lands?

( Because, their countries are bigger than ours )

Why the have friendly government policy?

( They were in turmoil, war and whatever for so long. So, its time for them to rebuilt their nation )

We should have stop from relying upon FDI.

But we shouldnt stop from attracting investors and at the same time we must start investing outside the country. To show that we are actually doing good and we can start opening factories and marketing our product overseas.

First world countries are no longer relying on Foreign Direct Investment. Even if there are Foreign Direct Investment. It will not be opening up Factories and what not. But, the investment will in form of tourism, education ( foreign student studying in their country ) and services industries.

We are actually going towards that. Producing specialist in education (professors, lecturers etc etc) and specialist in services industries ( lawyers, graphic designer, fashion designer, medical doctor etc etc ). And we also attracting tourist. To visit our country.

That is ( and should be ) our main concerned.

We were one of the countries with most FDI's ( during 90's ) and now we should go one step ahead from relying to much on FDI's. ( Just like the First world country )

Since it is hard for us to compete with these nations.

But, TUN DR MAHATHIR with his SUPERBLY BRILLIANT MIND.. HAS COME OUT WITH AN IDEA. ON EVEN THO ITS HARD FOR US TO COMPETE FOR FDI'S. HE HAS THE RIGHT MIND AND THE RIGHT STRATEGY THAT ALLOWING MALAYSIA TO GROW ECONOMICALLY.

Well according to him ( My summary on his latest post title : Malaysian Industries ) :

HOW?

The Question OFTEN asked by the Foreigners when they wanted to buy our local products is WHETHER THE GOVERNMENT THEMSELVES BUY AND USED THOSE PRODUCTS.

SO!

IF GOV. ACTUALLY DROPPED THE FOREIGN TENDER AND START TO USE OUR LOCAL PRODUCTS. THEY ( LOCAL MANUFACTURER ) WILL HAVE BETTER CHANCES IN INTERNATIONAL MARKET.

Thus,

Our local manufacturer will have more market. More markets means more customers. More customers means more money comes in. More money means more local workers can be hired. More local workers means no money will escape from Malaysia. More money in Malaysia means Richer Malaysia. Richer Malaysia means Richer Malaysian. Richer Malaysian means No compromise on products quality. No compromise on products quality means Malaysia has Good Quality Product. Malaysia has Good Quality Product means Malaysian People is Quality People.

F1 Malaysia Team.

An Unhappy friend of mine asking my opinion on the recent entrance of Malaysia F1 team in the Formula 1 race.

Well. I for once. Eventho i'm a strong supporter of Tun Dr.Mahathir.

I never supporting his/Najib/Government decision on anything relating to Formula 1.

Not even the moved by the government to sponsor BMW Sauber team, Minardi Team and not even this recent fully Malaysian F1 team.

It is an utter waste of tax payers money. It is partly bullshit. Not even, the publicity received by Malaysia.

If Malaysian F1 team performs badly in the Formula 1 race it will only give us bad publicity instead of good one. There will be only be critics. If we wanted to have good publicity. We must make sure our F1 team made it at least in Top 4.

I never agreed with the decision to have our own F1 team. For me the money should go to somewhere more realistic.

My idea is this :

1. If we can spend at least Rm110 million a year to maintain the team. Why don't we invest the money into FOOTBALL or SOCCER?

Revived the grass root league , and then we seek the best talent in the country.

Coz, if we successful in SOCCER , We probably will be having a good publicity.

Just look at Brazil, Senegal and other 3rd world and South African countries who previously not known to the world.

After their World Cup entrance, the world get to know them.

I have to admit. I never knew Senegal until they beat France in World Cup 2000. This is what I called good publicity. People get to know you when you beat the best.

2. If we invest more money to FOOTBALL or SOCCER. People will quickly see the investment and the investment would be directly to the people.

How is it directly to the people?

By organizing grass root league.

Start from District League and whatsoever. So people can see that we are actually giving back the money to the people.

The league will goes up untill the national level. The best from every disctrict will be chosen to represent their particular district in the State Team.

The state team will be competing in National Level.

By establishing a team for every district. FULLY SPONSORED by the government. People can see where their tax money are going.

Bagan Pinang will become the battlefield that will test the relevancy of Barisan Nasional government.

If they lost. It will become the indication that BN is no longer supported by the majority of Malaysian people.

I read from one of the PR supporters website claiming ISA SAMAD ( BN CANDIDATE ) to HAVE A HUGE AND EXPENSIVE HOUSE IN NILAI.

They said its a prove on how corrupt Isa Samad is.

They spin an old story and I am getting sick of it.

Do they know PR leaders also owned huge and expensive houses to?

Let me show you on how sick and narrow-minded this PR people :

Below is Khalid Ibrahim house ( Selangor MB's house ). The house which situated in Damansara is said to be cost him more than just few millions. Khalid owned a Bank as much as rm66 million. If the bank decided to petition him as a bankrupts. He will have to step down from his post as an MB.

Below is Lim Guan Eng house. So much for choosing Khalifah Umar Abdul Aziz as his role model.

Below is the house of Anuar Berahim the chameleon (according to The Economists) cum the traitors of faith and race. Some said the house is costing more than RM8 Million.

Well, what i'm trying to point out here is people should GROW UP. Stop accusing others with ridiculous accusation.

So what if Isa Samad has big and expensive houses? He was an MB once. He was experienced and worked in many places. Holding big positions for many companies. His house in Nilai is said to be not that expensive. Too much exaggeration being made by the opposition.

So does Anwar, who was a Deputy Prime Minister and Financial Minister, De Factor Leader and also worked in many place.

While Khalid Ibrahim was the CEO in Guthrie. The poster boy for NEP and now turn into one of the people who against the policy that help him so much. So. What's wrong with this guy has a lot property?

As only for LIM GUAN ENG. I don't know. Talking about transparency, responsibility and integrity a lot. Him, we must question, how come become an opposition for so long and no clear background carreer enable him to own expensive property?

and also for Azmin Ali. Owning a mansion in Titiwangsa. He was only a special secreatry for Anwar Ibrahim. And it was only for a brief moment. Not for long.

Why don't they question Azmin and LGE?

Dulu ada seorang penulis Cina atau ahli sejarah Cina yang mengatakan Tanah Melayu pada zaman dahulu merupakan sebahagian daripada jajahan negara Cina. Hang Tuah, Jebat, Hang Lekir, dan Hang Lekiu adalah orang Cina.

Kenapa?

sebab kesemua nama diorang ada 3 suku kata.

Hang-Je-Bat, Hang-Le-Kir, Hang-Tu-Ah. Tapi Hang-Le-Ki-Yew dan Hang-Kas-Tu-Ri yang ada 4 suku kata. Tak pulak dikatakan orang Cina. Haiyah.. Gila la ini apek. Jebat itu maksud jerat. Kasturi tu maksudnya bunga. Yang diorang buat teori yang takder asal-usul ini kenapa?

Sekarang pulak...

Indonesia pulak kata yang MELAYU dan Tanah Melayu ini adalah kepunyaan mereka. Sejarah zaman Bung Karno kini berulang.

Diorang sampai kata kita curi budaya diorang. Banyak. Rendang, Batik, Pendet, Reog bla bla bla.

Kalaulah orang India dapat tahu Indon buat camni.

Mungkin diorang akan cakap Indonesia adalah milik India.

Kenapa pulak?

Anduman ( Hanuman )? Garuda? Jentayu ( Jantayu )?

Jantayu dan Garuda adalah tuhan agama Hindu. Ini kita semua boleh lihat didalam kisah Mahabbrata. Kedua-dua Bahasa Indonesia dan juga Bahasa Melayu banyak terpengaruh atau terdedah kepada elemen-elemen ataupun pengaruh bahasa asing terutamanya Bahasa Sanskrit. Bahasa Belanda dan Portugis ( beranda, tuala, sabun, biola ) Bahasa Inggeris, Bahasa Jepung ( cawan ) dan lain2.

Orang Melayu di gugusan kepulauan Melayu ini pada mulanya berpegang pada pengaruh animisme, menyembah nenek moyang- kemudian Hindu- dan kemudian Islam.

Si Tanggang ( Malin Kundang untuk orang Indonesia ) pernah diceritakan telah memasak "BERUK" panggang untuk makan. Kemudian apabila pengaruh Islam muncul di Tanah Melayu, siri memakan "BERUK" panggang telah ditukar kepada memakan "PISANG" panggang.

Kita terpengaruh dengan pelbagai budaya. Sebagai contoh adat "tepung tawar" adalah berasal daripada adat agama hindu. Manakala "walimatul urus" pula adalah berasal daripada budaya bangsa Arab - Islam.

Perkataan melayu yang asli hanya ada 3 sahaja. Iaitu "Nasi" , "Padi" dan "Babi". Iaitu resepi untuk hidup.

Nasi Babi. haha

Orang Melayu adalah yang paling gagah. Sebab orang melayu sangat mudah menyesuaikan diri dengan tempat sekeliling. Sangat mudah nak adapt dengan environment mereka.

Orang Melayu sahaja yang mampu secara efektif untuk meniru 100% dialek, loghat ataupun accent bahasa bangsa-bangsa lain.

Ada sorang member aku yang belajar bahasa jepun pernah cakap kat aku yang Cikgu bahasa jepun dia kata takder sapa boleh sebut perkataan 'tschu' jepun. Tapi ORANG MELAYU BOLEH. MALAYSIA BOLEH. Kata dia.

"Silat Melayu" juga ada yang berasal daripada pergerakan kung fu aliran "wing chun", iaitu aliran kung fu cina.

Kebolehan orang melayu untuk mengadaptasi budaya-budaya bangsa lain adalah bukan sesuatu yang kita patut malu ataupun segan. Bukan aku nak justifikasikan benda nih..

Tapi. Kenapa "re-invent the wheel"? Orang Melayu selalu dituduh sebagai bangsa yang malas. Ya. Itu aku tak nafikan. Memang malas. Tapi kenapa nak bersusah payah? Kenapa nak berperit jerih? kalau lepas tu kita komplen. Kita mengadu domba?

Melayu adalah pemalas. Jadi kita selalu nak senang. Kerja nak senang. DAN sudah tentunya kita suka berpolitik, suka berparti! Kalau dalam demonstrasi jalanan, tunjuk perasaan.Orang Melayu adalah yang pertama berkumpul. DAN orang Melayu lah yang terakhir balik rumah. Kenapa? Sebab kita suka Ber Par- TaYyy!!

dan

Assimilasi kita ke dalam budaya lain adalah sesuatu yang patut kita bangga. Penerimaan kepada kosmopolitan zaman moden.

kita even letak benda ni dalam kita punya perlembagaan persekutuan!

Melayu. Adalah satu-satunya bangsa didalam dunia ni yang tidak tertakluk pada limitasi genetik. Semua orang boleh jadi Melayu!! Tak kira Cina, India, Sudan, Somalia, Mat Salleh, Klingon, Jedi, Darth Vader.. etc.etc.

Semua orang pun boleh jadi Melayu!

Kita ikut kriteria! Kalau Perlembagaan kata kau Melayu. Kau adalah Melayu!!

Pergi blah sama DNA!!

I received SMS from a friend studying in Washington D.C.

The SMS said.

"Gempa bumi lagi? Siapa ganyang siapa bro?"

He was referring to recent quake that strucked Indonesia last Thursday morning.

For your information, my friend and I shared the same sentiments towards the Indonesia. There were too much provocation being made against Malaysian. Both of us really think that there should be less communication or severe the diplomatic ties between the 2 countries.

Or in short "we should just ignore the dam-nation"

Then i replied..

"Padah orang yang angkuh dan sombong, hehehe"

then he asked me the question.

"Wajarkah kita bantu?"

Without a moment of hesitation. I replied to him.

"Orang susah kita tolong, tak kesah la jahat macam mana pun orang tu. Kita kena tolong diorang. Nabi pun maafkan musuh baginda."

Indon.. oh indon...

Heh..

KANGAR: “Hancur hati apabila melihat isteri terlebih dulu merayakan ulang tahun kelahirannya dengan lelaki lain dalam bilik hotel, sedangkan saya membeli kek kesukaannya dan sejambak bunga untuk diraikan bersama di rumah,” luah seorang suami yang kecewa dengan perbuatan curang isterinya apabila ditangkap khalwat, awal pagi semalam.

Suami berusia 31 tahun dari Sungai Petani, Kedah, itu berkata, dia melihat dengan jelas kecurangan isterinya bersama seorang lelaki bukan Islam ketika pegawai pencegah maksiat Perlis melakukan serbuan di bilik hotel terbabit.

Katanya, kelmarin, genap usia isterinya yang ke-31 tahun dan dia bercadang membuat kejutan untuk meraikan sambutan bersama dengan membeli kek krim buah dan sejambak bunga tanpa pengetahuan isteri.

“Selepas membeli kek dan bunga, saya pulang ke rumah di Sungai Layar, Sungai Petani. Apabila tiba berhampiran pekarangan rumah, saya melihat kelibat isteri masuk dalam sebuah kereta dan memandu seorang diri.

“Disebabkan berasa tidak sedap hati, saya terus mengekori isteri dan rupa-rupanya dia memandu sampai ke sebuah hotel di Kangar,” katanya ketika ditemui di sini.

Wanita terbabit ditahan ketika sedang berdua-duaan dengan seorang lelaki Cina dalam sebuah bilik hotel oleh sepasukan empat anggota penguat kuasa Jabatan Agama Islam Perlis (Jaips) jam 5.30 pagi.

Wanita yang bertugas sebagai pegawai imigresen di Sungai Petani itu, sanggup memandu kenderaan sejauh 80 kilometer untuk melakukan maksiat bagi meraikan ulang tahunnya bersama lelaki berusia awal 30-an dari Perlis itu.

Suami terbabit yang bertugas sebagai juruteknik kanan di sebuah kilang di Sungai Petani berkata, dia terserempak dengan anggota Jaips yang melakukan serbuan di bilik hotel terbabit.

“Saya kaku sebentar melihat kelibat isteri bersama lelaki lain dalam bilik hotel itu. Kami mempunyai dua anak perempuan berusia dua dan enam tahun hasil perkongsian hidup sejak lapan tahun lalu,” katanya sambil menunjukkan kek buah bernilai RM35 yang dibelinya untuk isteri kepada petugas media di sini.

Dia berkata, khabar angin yang didengarnya sebelum ini berhubung kecurangan isterinya yang mempunyai empat telefon bimbit ternyata benar.

“Saya mengakui sudah pasrah dengan kejadian itu dan selepas ini, tumpuan saya hanya kepada dua anak perempuan. Saya akan memberi didikan agama sempurna kepada mereka,” katanya.

Sementara itu, Pengarah Jaips, Abdul Malik Hussin, mengesahkan penahanan wanita dari Sungai Petani itu bersama lelaki bukan mahram dalam sebuah bilik hotel, bagaimanapun lelaki berkenaan dibebaskan kerana bukan Islam.

“Hasil maklumat awam, empat anggota Jaips bergegas ke lokasi dan mengetuk pintu bilik hotel sebelum dibuka seorang wanita dan hasil pemeriksaan kami menemui seorang lelaki bukan Islam di atas katil.

“Wanita yang bertugas di sebuah jabatan kerajaan di Sungai Petani memberi alasan kononnya sedang mengadakan perbincangan perniagaan dengan lelaki berkenaan ketika serbuan jam 5.30 pagi,” katanya.

Beliau berkata, wanita terbabit akan dituduh mengikut Seksyen 9 Enakmen Jenayah Dalam Syarak Negeri Perlis dan jika sabit kesalahan boleh dikenakan hukuman denda RM5,000 atau penjara tiga tahun atau kedua-duanya sekali.

“Selepas mengambil keterangan, wanita itu dibebaskan dengan bon jaminan RM2,000 yang dibayar seorang penjamin kira-kira jam 12 tengah hari dan kes akan disebut di Mahkamah Rendah Syariah, Rabu ini,” katanya

Aku bukan apa. Kesian dengan laki dia. Beli kek. Beli Bunga. Nak wat surprise. Last2 dia yang surprise. Hancur luluh hati.. tengok bini buat camtu.

Kalau aku, aku amik jer KEK tu kedian tonyoh kat muka betina tu. Bincang pasal bisnes konon... bisnes apa? Bisnes APAM?

Dah lah buat benda tak senonoh waktu raya. Memang harem nyer pempuan.

Geleng kepala jer lah.

Selalu lelaki yang curang2 macam ni. Sekarang perempuan pulak. Dunia ni sememangnya dah terbalik. Sememangnya dah di penghujung akhir zaman .

Salam.

Saluran Astro favourite aku adalah Saluran 555. Iaitu History Channel. Yeap. Saluran Sejarah. Untuk pengetahuan semua, aku memang sangat meminati Sejarah. Terutamanya sejarah yang berkaitan dengan peperangan dan ketenteraan.

Aku rasa kalau aku tak belajar Undang-Undang waktu dekat Universiti, kemungkinan besar aku akan amik bidang kesusasteraan dalam Sejarah. .

Aku rasa sebab aku meminati Sejarah adalah kerana "BAKA". Bapak aku ada 'degree' dalam Sejarah dan juga 'Master' dalam 'Political History'. Aku rasa minat ni aku dapat daripada dia. Atuk belah Ayah aku pulak walaupun 'career' beliau adalah menjual kelapa dan mengerjakan bendang, beliau merupakan bekas 'tok dalang' wayang kulit separuh masa. Jadi kemungkinan besar ada kena mengenalah tu.

Ok lah. Enough rubbish.

Sekarang, aku nak keluarkan kenyataan kontroversi.

Aku SANGAT BERSETUJU dengan tindakan Amerika menjatuhkan Bom Atom di Hiroshima dan Nagasaki.

Kenapa? Aku baru jer lepas tengok slot SHOOTOUT di Saluran Astro 555 ( History Channel). Episod kali ini adalah ulasan tentang Pertempuran Okinawa ( Battle of Okinawa ) sewaktu Perang Dunia Kedua ( World War 2 ).

Pertempuran tersebut adalah pertempuran yang paling berdarah didalam kempen peperangan di Pasifik. Kerana lebih 120 000 Askar jepun , 100 000 orang awam okinawa dan juga lebih kurang 3000 askar amerika terbunuh. Ini menjadikan jumlah nyawa yang terkorban lebih daripada 200 000 nyawa.

Bayangkan 200 000 nyawa terkorban kerana ingin mempertahankan pulau okinawa yang besarnya tidak seberapa??

Seperti yang kita semua sedia maklum, orang Jepun sangat terkenal dengan sikap " Berani Mati Secara Bermaruah" . Ini boleh dilihat melalui adat yang diamalkan oleh mereka seperti Harakiri, Seppuku dan Kamikaze. Mereka tidak mungkin akan mengalah didalam peperangan mempertahankan negara mereka. Walaupun 200 000 orang terkorban. Mereka tetap akan teruskan peperangan.

Seperti yang disebut oleh Sgt. Gurnevere "Gunny" Smith ( Askar Marin Amerika di Okinawa)

"Those Japs were stubborn!!"

Askar Jepun tersebut sangat keras kepala.

Tidak mungkin diorang akan mengalah.

Jadi, selepas Pertempuran Okinawa selesai. Presiden Harry Truman, telah menimbang segala possibility yang ada (termasuk menggunakan bom atom). Kerana beliau tahu sekiranya kempen untuk menawan Jepun diteruskan mungkin berjuta nyawa akan terkorban.

Beliau memilih untuk menjatuhkan bom atom di Hiroshima dan Nagasaki. Jumlah mangsa yang terkorban ketika kedua-dua bom tersebut dijatuhkan adalah lebih kurang sama dengan nyawa yang melayang didalam Pertempuran Okinawa.

Bayangkan, sekiranya Amerika tidak menjatuhkan Bom Atom dan kempen untuk menawan Jepun diteruskan?

Jika kempen untuk menawan setiap daerah memakan korban 200 000 nyawa. Bayangkan sekiranya ada 10 negeri dalam Jepun?

2 000 000 nyawa!!!!!

Jadi sekiranya kita lihat dari perspektif yang berbeza. Langkah menggugurkan bom atom mungkin telah menyelamatkan lebih banyak nyawa.

Tapi satu fakta yang tidak boleh dinafikan. Pengguguran bom atom telah menamatkan perang dunia ke-2. Lantas mewujudkan keamanan dan kestabilan dunia sehingga ke hari ini.

and why do they called it AP set? What does it stand for? Approved Permit?

Worst - Case Scenario

This morning after sahur, I had a talk with a friend.

We were talking about current event involving Malaysia and Indonesia.

I expressed my concerned over the current relationship between the two.

Indonesia, by looking at current situation might wage war against Malaysia. Well, what do you expect when certain quarters in Indonesia, equipped with sharp bamboo stick are setting up post in order to SWEEP of Malaysia in Jakarta.

Then he says...

"I dont think war will ever happened. Now, countries are no longer choose to wage against one and another"

"War is something outdated"

"the worst-case scenario will be like.. no diplomatic ties between Malaysia and Indonesia, boycott and whatever. But, there will never be a war between Malaysia and Indonesia"

"Look at Taiwan and China. They quarraled, China calling Taiwan as the Traitor Island. They always threatening to go out war against each other. But it is never materialized."

"Same goes to South Korea and North Korea. They never stop provoking each other even after the end of civil war in 1950's. But, the same civil war never happened again."

Even tho, the answer calmed me a little bit..

His answer would be soo naive.

That is not surprising.

Anyway. I do hope we will not go to the extent of waging war against our muslim brother. I see no point at all.

War? Because of some petty petty issue? Stealing culture? nonsense!!

We do know, the anti-malaysian sentiments in Indonesia has already started since when? 2006? 2007? around 3 to 4 years ago give or take. Starting with calling them "INDON" and then "MAID ABUSE" and 'then "Rasa Sayange"and now.. "Pendet"?

Nonsense.

This thing has already long overdue. Because of the excellent covered up by Mainstream Media in Malaysia. Not so many people knows about the brewing anti-malaysia sentiment in Indonesia.

I've been following closely on the case involving Kartika. I had a good talk about it with my father this morning. It was a good father-son session.

I am saluting her for her determination on being punished according to Syariah Law. She was drinking beer openly in the public. Got caught by the authority and she is willing to be whipped according to Islamic Law.

A round of applause to her. She is not only a mere "model".. but also a "role model" for the rest of us Muslim here.

Then the polemics started. Everyone wants to give their piece of mind on the issue. Calling this and that...bla bla bla...the whipping is not according to REAL syariah law la.. bla bla bla...then start la kononnya it will tarnished the image of country in the eyes of the world la. Well who cares.

ALL OF US MISSED THE MOST IMPORTANT POINT HERE. ( I MEAN THE NGO'S AND LAWYERS WHO ARE SO AGAINST THE PUNISHMENT.)

Put all the religious issue aside. Let it be dealt by those who are "AHLI" in this issue. Because I don't know on how the whipping should be executed and everything.

NOW, I WANT TO TALK ABOUT THOSE WHO GO AGAINST KARTIKA'S WISHES TO BE PUNISHED ACCORDING TO ISLAMIC LAW.

It is Kartika's WISHES to be punished according to Islamic Law. Let it be. Why are these people go against it?? IT IS HER WISHES. IT IS GOD'S RIGHTS (AND IF YOU LOOKING THROUGH YOUR SECULAR PERSPECTIVE'S - IT IS HER RIGHTS TO CHOOSE )

Isn't it inline with the very essence of democracy? FREEDOM TO CHOOSE? why are these people are so against her?

Isn't she entitled to choose?

Isn't it the freedom for self-determination. She could choose on what law should governed her?

I saw it in a movie titled 'Flesh of Genius'. Based on true story.

The movie is focusing on a battle between an inventor called Robert Kearns v. Ford Motor Company back in 1950's when they developed a new "intermittent windshield wiper".

The film's title is derived from patent law terminology, in effect from 1941 to 1952, that argued the idea for an invention could come to someone out of nowhere.

An inventor. Robert Kearns developed an intermittent windshield wiper when he was inspired by an incident that troubled his vision. At that particular time he was driving through a rain with his family and the constant movement of the windshield troubled him. Based on that event, he was inspired to create a "windshield wiper" based on the movement of human eye lid.

He developed a new windshield wiper and patent it. Then he went met a people in Ford Motor Company who worked on the same research and project but with no success. Robert Kearns hammered a deal with these people. He wanted to manufacture the wiper for the company. Eventually he was cheated, the company stole his prototype and also the design and using it without paying or credit anything to him.

Then things got a little interesting. When he went into a deep despair to the extent he having a depression that causing him to be admitted into a mental hospital for years. He met many lawyers in order to engage into a legal suit with them.

and all of them gave similar answer, HE HAS NO CHANCE AT ALL to win the case.

REASON?

HE IS GOING AGAINST FORD COMPANY, WHICH IS ONE OF THE MIGHTIEST CORPORATION IN THE WORLD.

Well, when no lawyers want a piece of it. He went out all by himself. He learn law by himself, he got fired, his wife divorced him, he being obsessed on the trial.

took him 9 years.

Berkat kesabaran, obsession, nd helps from his children. The moment came. argued in the court by himself. Embarrased himself by not knowing anything about court de corum. AND HE WIN.

HE WON THE CASE. HAHA.

court award him damages up to $30 million and for the ford company to credit him for his invention.

Although he lost a big part of his life. 9 years. But he retain his dignity and most of all the flash of genius that came to him like a... flash.

Comparing mc curry and robert kearns case. Robert Kearn endured more hardship lah cause he has to present for himself coz all the lawyers in US got no balls...

but here in malaysia we have few good Indian who got the guts to stand up against the Goliath.

I would like to write something.

Something that show how grateful I am being here in this country.

The land of milk and honey. The land of KLCC. The land of where Muslim have all the advantages and facilities. The land where there is Masjid and Surau in almost every 500 metres. The land where mostly muslim got the advantages and exclusive privilleges.The land of where there is unity in diversity. The land where we can have teh tarik and nasik lemak even at 2.00 am. The land where Mat Rempits, Politicians, Hypocrites, Idiots and Racist rule the country.

Aroud 3 - 5 years ago. Many people i knew left this Country. They packed their bag and left. For them this country does not promise them a good life. I still remember one of them told me Kuala Lumpur is dirty and expensive. Not so many opportunity. Not up to their standard they say.They want to go somewhere, where it is more promising. Then, off they go to Europe, America and some Middle East.

Leaving me alone. So I have to open Facebook and Friendster account to keep in touch with them.

Suddenly. Something happened. Something called GLOBAL FINANCIAL CRISIS.

Jobs has become really scarce. Hard to find any. Priority being given to the natives instead of immigrants or foreigners.

Some of them spent months and years trying to find jobs in New Zealand, Australia, United Kingdom, Dubai, USA, China and.. only to be conned, insulted and suffered racist treatments.

They are naive. Little that they know being in another country actually opens more doors to racism and hatred then sheltered in good ole Malaysia.

Them. Us. Always forgot the fact that this is our country. This is our land and no one can take it away from us. And in other countries. It is THEIR LAND. The land belong to the natives. It always is. There is no country in history that would give up their rights so easily as what happened nowadays in Malaysia. Where WE easily giving up our rights to the immigrants.

Well, there are some who end up well in other countries. But, these people are exception to begin with. They have skills. Specialized skills. Talents. Which if they gone. No other people can replace them.

So, thus who have a very negative perception on Malaysia. Thus who whine and complaint but do nothing... Just think. Think again. Think for a longer while. Reflex for yourself. Re evaluate what you have now. Then conclude.

The PR selangor government is never quite from issues .

Be it from THE CONFISCATED BEER ISSUE, TIDUR KANGKANG ISSUE to TEMPLE/KEPALA LEMBU ISSUE.

The cow-head incident in Shah Alam last Friday happened during the protest staged by Muslim Malay residents in S.23 of Shah Alam. They expressed their protest by marching down from Masjid Negeri to in front of SUK office. The were not happy with the decision to relocate the Sri Mahamariamman temple to their area.

They claimed to bring the Cow-Head to show their protest after the MB Khalid Ibrahim, EXCO Charles Xavier and ADUN Rodziah refused to met them and was allegedly lied to the people in S23 area.

However, the same old script being played again : The PR supporters blame it on UMNO behind the cow-head incident.

Same old tricks played by the PR supporters on blaming the whole thing on UMNO.

Im always wondering... on how low would the PR supporter will go on this thing?

Because, according to the blogger A VOICE, the leader in the protest is Mahyuddin Manap, the Wangsa Maju PKR member and the vice-leader is Ibrahim Sabri the staunch supporter of Anwar Ibrahim. While the one who recite the doa is a PAS member. Only known as Amin.

Has BN learn their lesson from last General Election and many defeats in many By-Elections?

Last By-Election result show the otherwise. They keep on "terforget" that politics particularly in Malaysia is all about perception. It is all about the Art of Perception. On how people perceived your party, your struggle, your performance, and most importantly YOUR CANDIDATE.

Most response that i received this morning when people told me about BN losses in Permatang Pasir is all because of the candidate is not clean. Is perceived to be dirty and has bad track record.

No matter how much explanation you gave to the general public on how innocent he was in the scandal. It can never remedy the situation. Malaysian people are simple you see. They always judge the book by its cover. Even if you give a hell loads of explanation to them, they will never bother to understand. It is too complicated for them to understand things like S&P agreement, Contract and whatevernot. Permatang Pasir people is kampung folks you know. What they understand is when it comes to corruption BN is numero uno. The excellent brainwashed done by PAS and Anwar Berahim.

Some people inform me BN initially has 5 candidates to put on the table and they finally chose Rohaizat because back then Rohaizat looks clean and most popular among the 5.

Ok, acceptable, that is fine. But, his choice for not withdrawing from being a BN candidates when he has the chance is for me very unacceptable.

It is BN themselves who always said that "Politic nowadays is all about perception" and yet you still gave the people to choose candidate with questionable integrity?

Duhh...

We d0 have the upper-hand. We really do. The momentum is shifted to our side. Everyone can see it. Even the opposition is struggling to keep their momentum.

Poison Letter

The poison letter produced by Gobind Singh Deo in Teoh Beng Hock inquest has create a suspicion on the gravity of truth that is wrote down in the letter. The letter, purportedly written by SPRM officers who accusing the TP ( Timbalan Pengarah ) of SPRM for many things. Ranging from blatant abused of power, corruption to his involvement in an event that causing the death of Teoh Beng Hock.

Well, as for me... as usual this is one of many stunts and dirty tricks done by those people in DAP. and even Raja Putar Kamaruddin.

Why?

1. In the letter itself there is an excerpt accusing the Timbalan Pengarah to order his subordinates to wipe off the fingerprints on the windows. Well, the question is as you see during the Inques, the forensic officer himself said that there are as many as 8 finger prints left on the windows and he himself said that the window was dusty. So, if the Timbalan Pengarah order his subordinates to wipe the windows and also the fingerprints how come there are many fingerprints left on the window and even the window is still dusty. The forensic officer told this facts during the grilling session by Gobind Singh Deo.

2.There is also excerpts which telling us that the Timbalan Pengarah is the last person that saw Teoh Beng Hock as the letter also alleged that Timbalan Pengarah left the building at 6.10 am without punching out as he always do. Wow, how do they know the Timbalan Pengarah left the building exactly at 6.10 am??? This means that the one who wrote the letter was actually there saw the Timbalan Pengarah left the building at 6.10.

3.The letter focusing more on exposing the private scandal that happened between the Timbalan Pengarah and also his lady subordinate. Also all the allegations on konon-kononnya the Timbalan Pengarah is working with Khir Toyo to topple the Selangor State government.

Well, for now, these are the most important point that i want to highlight on how the letter is actually worthless, unreliable and fake. I seriously doubt that the letter is written by MACC officers.

Legal Attachment Programme

Yesterday, i went for my interview with a lecturer. This is my last semester of doing Practical under the purview of my university and kulliyah.

I did my attachment/practical at 3 places :

1. Kuala Lumpur High Court

2. Legal Firm in Wangsa Maju

3. Police Department Contingent level

I have passed my first and second Legal Attachment Programme or Practical. I hope i will passed the third and the last.

For your information my batch is the last batch that required to do practical at 3 different places. For each year. Those who coming after my batch will only have to choose one place and do it for the whole 3 months. Well most of them will choose legal firm cause usually they will give allowance to practical student.

For the past 3 years i have been nothing but complaining about everything that has to do with my practical. Spend too much money la, wasting time la, don't get enough holidays because of the programme, so on and so forth.

But, after finishing my third attachment, i beginning to think on how everything actually helps me to understand the legal world better. To understand people better. To understand on how the world is actually operates. That world and law and whatever it is, is never black or white, there is always grey area in some places. There is always flaws and we have to compromise with the flaws by doing something that is not pleasant just to maintain the balance that we had in the world.

Not to really promote maxim " the end, justify the means". But, sometime the maxim is quite true. Even in Islam. The maxim still exist. Still utilised to promote the islamic precepts.

For example in the case of Hudud.

You cutt-off people hand. In front of the public. The goal is to prevent and struck fears on others from committing theft. It is to deter others from doing the same crime. But by cutting off people hands, they can no longer works, they can no longer eat using their hands etc etc.. which actually create hardship to them.

But,still, Allah is the one who creates the law of hudud for his creature to implement. There must be wisdom behind it. One of the wisdom is that to stop people or to deter people from committing theft.

I fully understand this and never less in believing that hudud punishment is the best law to stop the moral decay in society.

I have seen this by myself while I was doing my attachment in Court. I had the opportunity to observed the magistrate in giving out remand to the criminal suspect.

Surprisingly.. those criminals knows what to say from beginning to an end in front of the magistrate. The seems to be educated about all their stuff. When I asked the magistrate on how those criminals know on what to say and what not to say in front of the magistrate.

The magistrate was smiling. Then he told me that these people mostly are habitual offender. Jail, Lock Up, Prison is like their second home. They do the same crimes again and again and again and again.

And they he continued to said. This is what happened when we don't implement hudud. The criminals can easily got away scott free.

Lagi beberapa minggu kita akan masuk dalam bulan Ramadhan. Jadi, buat masa sekarang ini mari kita lihat amalan-amalan yang sunat dilakukan ketika bulan sya'aban

Hadith :

Dari Aisyah r.a katanya:”Rasulullah SAW sering berpuasa sehingga kami mengira bahawa baginda akan berpuasa seterusnya. Dan baginda sering berbuka sehingga kami mengira beliau akan berbuka terus. Dan aku tidak pernah melihat baginda berpuasa terus sebulan penuh kecuali pada bulan Ramadhan. Dan aku juga tidak pernah melihat baginda berpuasa sunat dalam sebulan yang lebih banyak daripada puasanya di bulan syaaban.”

Huraian

1.Syaaban ertinya berpecah atau bercerai-berai. Ia dinamakan demikian kerana orang-orang Arab pada bulan tersebut akan berhijrah ke mana-mana tempat untuk mencari air sehingga ke gua-gua dan sebagainya. Pendapat lain pula mengatakan, sebab diertikan demikian adalah sebagai tanda pemisah iaitu memisahkan di antara bulan Rejab dan Ramadhan.

2. Dari berbagai keterangan ini, yang dapat disimpulkan bagi pengertian bulan itu ialah bulan adalah masa untuk manusia berebut-rebut mengejar kebajikan sebanyak mungkin sebagai latihan dan persediaan untuk memasuki bulan Ramadhan.

3. Sebahagian ahli hikmah menyatakan bahawa sesungguhnya bulan Rejab adalah kesempatan untuk meminta ampun dari segala dosa, bulan syaaban adalah kesempatan untuk memperbaiki diri dari segala macam celaan dan pada bulan Ramadhan adalah masa untuk menerangkan hati dan jiwa.

4. Di antara amalan-amalan yang digalakkan pada bulansyaaban adalah :

i. Memperbanyakkan puasa sunat. Di dalam kitab Durratun Nasihin ada menyebut sebuah hadis yang menyatakan bahawa Rasulullah SAW bersabda yang maksudnya : "Sesiapa yang berpuasa tiga hari pada permulaan syaaban dan tiga hari pada pertengahan syaaban dan tiga hari pada akhir syaaban, maka Allah mencatat untuknya pahala seperti pahala tujuh puluh nabi dan seperti orang-orang yang beribadat kepada Allah Taala selama tujuh puluh tahun dan apabila dia mati pada tahun itu maka dia seperti orang yang mati syahid."

ii. Memperbanyak doa, zikir dan membaca selawat kepada Rasulullah SAW. Sabda Rasulullah SAW : "Sesiapa yang mengagungkan bulan syaaban, bertaqwa kepada Allah, taat kepada-Nya serta menahan diri dari perbuatan maksiat, maka Allah Taala mengampuni semua dosanya dan menyelamatkannya di dalam tahun itu dari segala macam bencana dan penyakit." iii. Bertaubat

iv. Meraikan malam 15 syaaban atau lebih dikenali sebagai malam Nisfu syaaban di mana sunat ia dihidupkan dengan membaca zikir dan Al Quran kerana malam tersebut adalah malam yang amat mustajab dan penuh rahmat.

THE TEACHING OF MATHS AND SCIENCE

There is a huge headline in Berita Mingguan today. Said something about "Nik Aziz Hulur Salam". He said something like...he is ready to forget all past animosities between PAS and UMNO. I was smiling when i read the news. Then one of my friend ask

"Bosz, what's your take?"

I was like.. DUHH... its a good thing then. The ole men is somewhat has become sane again. But, why only now? Why not during the idea of "Malay Unity" and "Unity Government" was mooted by Hadi Awang?

Why Nik Aziz was so strongly opposed the idea then?

Well..

There are 3 possibilities :

1. Nik Aziz has regained his consciousness on how important Malay Unity is nowadays.

or

2. He just realized after PAS only "menang tipis" during the Manek Urai election? Where people of kelantan no longer believe in the same ole bullsh*t spat out by the PAS leaders and their political weapon of demonising UMNO is no longer working.

or

3. Just the way Zahid Hamidi cynically put it. Nik Aziz only being soft because he wanted something from the Federal Government led by Barisan Nasional.

But, whatever the reason is.. Nicky Aziz action of willing to make peace with his political enemy ( that is how he refer to UMNO ).. is a good thing.

For the last few months Nik Aziz seems like he is no longer the same Nik Aziz. He is no longer the Nik Aziz that I know and respected for the last decades. Patience, diplomacy, humility, and other trademark virtues of this man in his last two decades of leadership went out the windows in his tirades.

Why?

I was surprised when Nik Aziz went all berserk and made a very public denunciation of PAS vice president of Nasharuddin Mat Isa. The key initiator of PAS-UMNO unity talk.

He also released his barrages of outraged when he equated UMNO with Chin Peng, Communists and also Ayah Pin, the Dewa Wannabe. When he was asked why he said something outrageous like that.. He simply said that it was only a "qiyas"..DUHH..

well, to oppose the Unity Talk is one thing... but, to dismiss UMNO's 3 millions member equal to CPM bastards and human worshipping sucker would be really outrageous.

Do you remember the TIDUR KANGKANG ( term borrowed from Demi Negara ) issue? Yeah, Elizabeth Wong was invited to Kelantan to give a ceramah on the issue. She was wearing baju kurung and covering her head. I remember seeing the picture some Pas Muslimah Leader hugging Elizabeth Wong during the ceramah.

Nik Aziz further quoted to be said that Elizabeth Wong is only a "VICTIM" in the incident.

I WAS LIKE DUHHHH?? WHAT THE HELL??...

No that is not true. THE REAL VICTIM HERE IS HILMI'S WIFE... THE WOMAN IS THE VICTIM IN THIS CASE.. HILMI'S IS COMMITTING ADULTERY SO.. WHAT DO YOU THINK SIR?

Do you guys also remember all the hoop la... of Allah's name?? Whether it should be used in the BIBLE or not.. while Federal Agencies, Malay Muslim NGO's, Intellectuals, State Mufti's and Blogger expended much time trying to counter the Christians agenda of using the name's of Allah's in the bible... Nik Aziz dropped a bomb shell claiming that it.is.ok for the Non-Muslim to use the word Allah's in the bible.

YUP.

The logic? In his comfort, mollycoddled, beautiful mind. Nik Aziz theorised that non-Muslim wanted to learn more about Allah and they will convert into islam in this Happy Ending Story.

YUP. If life can be that simple. But outside Nik Aziz's cocoons, life is not so rosy. In fact, the motive of this Christians is quite the opposite. By associating Allah with numbers of dieties they can easily converting the young Muslim into their own .

In the midst of attack by subversive anti-malay on the rights of Malays. Nik Aziz suddenly jumped in and claimed that the word "bumiputera" is racist. Waddup!!! Outrageous aint it?

Nik Aziz is actually a captive of his own hatred against the UMNO. His factions within PAS .. hatred towards UMNO is more than their love towards Malay and Islam. To these people they will do whatever it takes to destroy and punish UMNO. Hence, their alliance with the infidels, anti-hudud infidels, anti-malay infidels, anti-islam infidels. Whenever UMNO take a stand on AN ISSUE. Nik Aziz will definitely take the opposite stand on the issue. Regardless the logics and truth behind his stand. Real opposition leader eyh?

I hope the SALAM PERDAMAIAN... is not only an act by Nik Aziz and not also only a mere gesture and goodwill to the Malay and Islam unity. It must be the first step to a real unity. The first step that stop all the hatred being propagated and preached among the Malays.

The death of Teoh Beng Hock.

The newspapers covered the news for almost everyday now.

Not only a news report but also featured news on the cover page. For almost ever single day now.

Thus perhaps, i should write down a comment on this incident.

I believed the death of Teoh Beng Hock is nothing more than a political death to save some politician ass.

Why?

Here are the reasons.

First of all, the death of Teoh Beng Hock happened few days after some politician in Selangor State Government was exposed in the media to be involved in "Underworld Activities". ( some people has gone jumping up and down when this thing was exposed .. as seem like they are in a "defensive mode" )

and

Teoh Beng Hock was detained ( not arrested ) to give a statement to the Malaysian Anti Corruption Agency for that matter. Teoh Beng Hock is Secretary for an Exco who is directly connected to those who are jumping up and down when the "Underworld Activities" was exposed.

During Teoh Beng Hock detention, there are other people who are also detained for statement. Tan Boon Wah. Both of them were detained for almost 9 hours. Tan Boon Wah was first released.

Tan Boon Wah is the last man who saw Teoh Beng Hock. He said he saw Teoh Beng Hock at 6.00 am.. who wanted to sleep at the couch in Plaza Masalam building where MACC office was located at. Tan Boon Wah also said... Teoh Beng Hock said nothing to him accept he wanted to sleep at the couch because he was exhausted.

Alternative Dispute Resolution

For the last 2 days, i attend a conference. Not as a participant. But, as committee to be exact.

Well, i think it is quite a good experience perhaps. This is my first time attending conference. Although I'm a committee. But I work in a conference hall. So, in a way i'm also a committee cum participant.

Because I can observe everything and participating in almost all session during the conference. The conference is about Alternative Dispute Resolution on Medical Negligence cases. So, most of the participants are those doctors and also people who are in legal fraternity.

I felt very lucky to be able to listen and observe a lot of doctors, lawyers, legal officers from all over the world telling their views.

However I felt a bit disappointed with some of the participants.

Well Why?

People always says that lawyers are always the arrogance one.

Erm..

My 2 days experienced prove them to be wrong.

I see a lot of bashing and game blaming happens for the last 2 days.

Those who involve in Medical Field is acting very.. i dont know.. immatured, unethical and unprofessional i guess?

They blaming the Lawyers for everything...

Its almost like from A to Z...

It is kinda funny to see how the Legal Educated people in the conference were holding their punches towards this.. unprofessional doctors.

Just why these doctors they act so... irrationally, immature and unprofessional?

Belasungkawa : Yasmin Ahmad

My girlfriend told me just now Yasmin Ahmad had gone to Rahmatullah.

Before anything..Let's just recite Surah Al-Fatihah for her and pray that Allah will forgive her and blessed her with eternal heavens.

Well,

Honestly.. I never am a fans of her. None of her film really left a deep impact on me. There is a lot of differences between her and me. In many things including ideology, idealism etc etc. Although I don't really know her well, but everything about her is somehow reflected on the film she made.

Her film is really typical. In Sepet, Gubra, Mokhsin, Muallaf and her last film Talentime. Almost in all her film you can see malay village girl wearing baju kurung without any headscarf, beautiful and somewhat very retro and old looking scenery, a non-malay hero, a malay villains and the hero usually is a non-malay.

People always telling me her story is all about reality. I kinda disagree with this view. It is more likely a typical malay girl fantasy who really fancies and proud if they have a relationship or a very serious relationship with other races.

Believe me... I had enough listening to all the craps spat out by my female acquaintances on how they fancies chinese/korean/japanese or in short a mongoloid looking people.

But, very little of them really established a relationship with other races. So, i don't think Yasmin Ahmad's movie is all about reality.

One more thing is, Yasmin Ahmad's really promote bangsa malaysia concept. This can be seen from all her movies. More integration between races.Of coz, relationship between a Malay girl wearing baju kurung and a non-malay boy. I don't have a problem with this idea. In fact i support bangsa Malaysia. I am currently the strong supporter of 1Malaysia concept. The idea which is to unite Malaysian.

But, one thing that we must bare in mind. Does other races really care about the idea? Do they even want to work together with the Malays? I don't want to answer the question. The current political situation tells it all.

It really shows the true colors of some people.

WHERE ONE RACE REALLY COMPROMISE WITH THE OTHER AND ANOTHER RACE WHICH DOES NOT WANT TO COMPROMISE EVEN A BIT. EXAMPLE? THE CASE OF PIG SLAUGHTER HOUSE IN KEDAH.

This is my opinions over her work. My criticism. Anyway what do i know about films rite?

I am not really good at appreciating it.

Maybe the way i appreciate film is somewhat difference from the others.

But still..

I think they are still a lot of good thing in her films. Including the LOVE THEME which she always highlighted in all her films.

Its not just I LOVE U, U LOVE ME theme. It is more than that. Something that i cannot describe. I don't know how. But you can feel it all the the way untill the very end of her film. The example is in GUBRA'S where there is a love between neighbours who are not judgemental. Where one neighbour who is a prostitute and another neighbour is a very pious, caring, concerned and non-condescending neighbours.

and also a lot of other thing.

one thing for sure. THE IKLAN PETRONAS MADE BY HER ARE THE BEST EVER.

She won a lot of awards. Not just an award. But an international and prestigious awards.

Anyway. I really think.. she is the force to reckon with. A woman that is worth to remember. Our film industry really is at loss.

Transformers 2 : The Polemic

I met an old friend this morning. After greeting each other.We had our breakfast together at one "nasi lemak" stall. The stall has a very unique nasi lemak and i never find the same nasi lemak anywhere except there. I. Since very little called it nasi lemak pokok ketapang. Because it is situated rite under a very old and huge pokok ketapang. So people called it nasi lemak pokok ketapang.

So, my friend and I had a chit chat about many things, we talked about the good ole days.. the days we went to school together, we gossiped about lot of people, including teachers, old friends and changes that happen around us.

One of many things we chat about is on Transformers 2. My friend is one of those movie buffs who watched movies not just for entertainment. But, he also take it seriously. He is very intellectual and critical i can say. He critics Transformers 2 from many angles and he also quoted many film critics who criticized Transformers 2 by not giving it any credits for an extra efforts for making giant robots.

Well, me on the first instance, don't really care about what people say.. i can say Transformers 2 tho not as good as Transformers 1, is still superb in their own kind of way.

As I said in my previous post. The film is an adaptation from a Cartoon. It is not realistic in the first place. So, why should i expect the movie to be really realistic?? By bringing a cartoons robots into a real life action giant robot is already quite a feat.

Transformers 2 is a huge success.

There is no need for Michael Bay to turn Transformers into one of those heavyweight Oscars movie.

Today is Friday.

Come Saturday and Sunday. The Holidays end.

Tough road ahead. I already set my goals on what i want to achieve in the coming semesters. There are less semester now. So, i really need to concentrate on my study. I have nothing more in my mind except study, license and money.

No more thinking about making friends. No more thinking about fullfilling the life and the joy of being student in University. Because, for one none of above i have achieved. Nada.

But, I learn more about life. About how an awful jerk i have been for the last few years. How insensitive and incompetent i am. I know 1 thing for sure. I will be spending the rest of my college life by improving myself. Regaining what i have lost and building a new life.

I learned on how strange, bad, selfish, cutthroat people can be. I learn more about people in my college life, i learn how to deal with this type of people and i vow not to repeat the same mistake i did for the last few years.

Rite now, what i need to do is focus on my goals and at the same time regulate my life back. I've been in lost for so many years.

Now, it is time the time for to change.

So, another breaking news. Someone attack my family house at Taman Melati. No. They did not just simply attack the house, but they send something. Something we cannot see. Something evil. Just to get rid the woman who lived in the house.

Ok. I don't really believed in this paranormal metaphysics phenomenan thing. But, i think its getting serious. Because the occupants can feel the evil presents inside the house and sometimes they heard noises, like a chair moving by itself, people running inside the house or something.

The tenants just told my mother last night that she saw something on the roof. A bundle of "kemenyan" or sumthing. It is like a mug. A plastic mug. Wrapped in a yellow cloth and there some stuff inside the mugs and i dont know what the stuffs is. He suspected that someone with an ill heart throw the thing on the roof.

But. Whatever it is. It really is. Some people actually did something to the house. So, tomorrow i'll be following my father to my Pak Embong's house ( coz he's the pro in this alam ghaib thing) so we can discuss on further action. I can't wait to know who's the hell trying to get rid of my parents favorite tenants.

H1N1 - Pig Flu

Why I used the word Pig Flue?? Despite all the nonsensical protest by the chinese community in Malaysia? Why? There reason being is.. Because now, it is confirm that the virus originated from PIG. So, there is nothing wrong by referring to the disease as Pig Flue. Pig Fluw, Swine Flue, Pork Flue, Boar flue and whatsoever. It is the same. Anyway that is not what Im going to write down here.

So..

Someone told me yesterday. That H1N1 has reached KLCC. Reach KLCC?? I asked her how? She told me her sister who worked at KLCC tower heard the news that some guy who worked at tower 1 was infected by H1N1. I'm not sure whether it is a confirm case or it just a usual suspect. Because the poor guy had developed several symptoms after he came back from Jakarta.

I hope he's okay.

Hurm..

I wondering. Why even tho the authority gave us a full alert and news on the widespread virus. But, still i see not many people take precaution steps on doing anything to prevent from being infected by the virus. I saw very little people wear mask when they are in the public.

Someone need to do something. Authority need to do something. Distribute surgical mask to the public immediately. So the public will know the gravity of the situation.

I really need to alert my family members on the situation.

Sigh..

Transformers 2 : Revenge of the fallen.

Most of my friends who watch transformers 2 commented that its a superb and brilliant movie. Well, yes i agree with the word superb being used, but not a brilliant movie. There is nothing being done to top the first movie. I mean there is nothing new in the movie in term of breathtaking graphics, bigger and better looking giant robots, brilliant plots and brilliant story line. Mind you devastator is one big ugly robots. Constructions vehicles combined.. yeah.. its one big ugly mother...of earth.

I like the jokes, the jokes is just well added. But sometimes it is too much. It has been exxagerated. Especially when sam's mom went to the college. It is nonsense.

I would say the first movie is way better than the second movie. I felt closer with the first movie. Coz it does not goes away with the reality. We can really attached ourselves to the first movie.

Why?

Coz Transformers 1 robots has less dialogues. Ironically less dialogues gives more intelligence persona to the robots. It makes people believing that the giants space robots is much more intelligence than human beings. Because, these robots are from space.. and they should have their own language, their own way of communications.. there should be less resemblance with human being.

In transformers 2 , there are too much dialogues and i gotta say too much dialogues and too much jokes makes the robots looks lame and stupid.. like small robot flirting with Megan Fox... i just felt detached from the reality.

Furthermore, when Sam's passed out.. he dream of meeting other primes.. it is like those robots are much alike human being...but the problem is.. when people see robots.. they see something mechanical.. something really complicated and mechanics.. so.. the dream thing really killed my mood watching the movie.

However, i still think that the movie is superb.. worth watching.. coz.. one must bare i mind that Transformers is actually an adaption from a cartoon that was famous during the 90's...

So.. when it comes to cartoon i don't put much hope of having some realistic thing attached to it. Coz.. its an adaption. All the graphics, efforts done Michael Bay is just great...

its really beyond my own imagination.

Hubungan Antara Jiran Tetangga.

Kes pembantu rumah yang didera majikan, kes isteri kepada putera mahkota kelantan di dera suami dan juga kes perebutan blok lautan yang kaya dengan emas hitam telah memburukkan lagi hubungan di antara Malaysia dan jiran serumpun mereka, iaitu Indonesia.

Masalah yang pada mulanya hampir kendur dan almost cool off telah membara semula selepas ketiga-tiga kes ini berlaku. Apa yang menariknya disini ketiga-tiga kes ini berlaku hampir serentak. Jarak masa diantara kes pertama, kedua dan ketiga tidak sampai sebulan.

Lebih memburukkan keadaan, pemerintah Indonesia telah mengambil keputusan untuk membekukan penghantaran pembantu rumah ke Malaysia. Kononnya kedutaan indonesia di Malaysia telah dibanjiri dengan aduan2 akan majikan yang mendera pembantu rumah dari pada negara tersebut.

Saya lihat, kadangkala ada wajarnya untuk Indonesia mengambil tindakan seperti ini, kerana baru sekarang saya lihat timbulnya kesedaran dikalangan rakyat malaysia untuk lebih menghormati pendatang daripada negara jiran tersebut.

Saya tidak berniat untuk berkata buruk dan generalisasikan bangsa saya di negara tercinta Malaysia. Tapi berdasarkan pemerhatian saya rakyat malaysia rata2 sememangnya memandang rendah kepada bangsa indonesia yang datang mencari rezeki di Malaysia. Ada kes-kes seperti yang mengadu kononnya kedatangan bangsa indonesia ini menyakitkan mata, ada yang menganiaya bangsa dari Indonesia, ada juga dikalangan anggota penguatkuasa yang mengambil kesempatan dengan menge"pow" bangsa daripada republik tersebut, mendera mereka ketika didalam tahanan dan lain-lain.

Surat khabar malaysia yang juga pada suatu masa dahulu seringkali menggunakan istilah "Indon" untuk merujuk kepada pendatang dari Indonesia. Mungkin ramai yang berasa tidak ada salahnya untuk menggunakan istilah tersebut. Tetapi Indonesia ketika itu melahirkan rasa tersinggung, kerana pada mereka bunyi perkataan "indon" membawa konotasi negatif. Mereka juga ulang kali membawa bantahan tersebut kepada kerajaan Malaysia. Tetapi ketika itu kerajaan Malaysia buat tidak ambil kisah akan bantahan daripada bangsa Indonesia.

Maka segalanya menjadi meluap-luap. Bangsa Indonesia berasa orang Malaysia telah memijak maruah mereka dan kemuncak kepada peristiwa yang berlaku satu persatu..adalah berkenaan dengan isu Rasa Sayange. Dimana bangsa Indonesia mendakwa Malaysia mencuri budaya dan mereka mahu membalas dendam dengan cara memanggil malaysia sebagai "MALINGSIA" yang datang dari perkataan "Maling" yang membawa maksud mencuri. Dari isu ni timbulnya isu "Reog Ponorogo" yang serupa dengan tarian "Barongan", isu "rendang" "Batik" "Keris" dan lain2.

Jadi, Indonesia telah menyasarkan makian, perang Cyber seperti deface dan hack terhadap website2 Malaysia dan juga ada sampai ketahap ingin memulakan kempen Ganyang Malaysia.

Namun, adalah tidak adil untuk orang Indonesia untuk menghukum orang Malaysia. Kerana orang Malaysia, terutamanya orang dari keturunan Melayu selama ini menganggap orang Indonesia sebagai seperti jiran tentangga yang paling rapat.

Majikan yang menyeksa Nirmala Bonat dan juga mangsa yang terbaru ini juga bukanlah terdiri daripada bangsa Melayu.

Indonesia perlulah menerima orang Melayu adalah serumpun dengan bangsa Indonesia maka Malaysia dan Indonesia berkongsi kebudayaan yang sama. Bangsa Indonesia dan Melayu adalah dari kategori Austronesia. Malaysia juga merupakan sebahagian daripada gugusan kepulauan Nusantara.

Adalah perlu untuk Indonesia dan Malaysia memperbaiki hubungan kerana di Asia tenggara ini hanya 3 negara sahaja yang bermajoriti Islam. Iaitu Malaysia, Indonesia dan juga Brunei.

Indonesia juga seharusnya mempertimbangkan akan kelakuan jenayah yang dilakukan oleh bangsanya di Malaysia. Jenayah seperti merompak, mencuri, merogol, meragut, bergaduh sesama sendiri dan lain-lain. Adalah wajar untuk Indonesia ambil perhatian akan jenayah yang dilakukan bangsa mereka di Malaysia. Kerana mengikut statistik pendatang asing yang paling banyak melakukan jenayah di Malaysia adalah terdiri daripada orang2 Indonesia.

Saya baru sahaja menonton video yang bertajuk Rosmah Perempuan Puaka. Agak mendebarkan, mengelirukan dan kadangkala menakutkan la jugak. Ianya cuba dikaitkan dengan Rosmah Mansor iaitu isteri kepada Perdana Menteri Malaysia iaitu Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak. Video yang sepanjang 30 minit itu menceritakan latar belakang bagaimana Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak boleh berkahwin dengan Rosmah walaupun kedua-duanya sudah berkahwin ketika itu. Selain itu video tersebut juga memaparkan rumah usang yang didakwa rumah asal usul Rosmah, orang2 yang didakwa sebagai saudara mara Rosmah, adik rosmah dan lain2. Pelbagai dakwaan telah diletakkan didalam video tersebut termasuk kononnya Rosmah telah mengupah gengster2 utk mengagalkan perkahwinan anaknya ( anak bersama suami pertama Rosmah), salah guna kuasa dan tak lain tak bukan dakwaan popular yang kononnya Rosmah adalah pengguna bomoh yang tegar.

Video ini terbahagi kepada 3 bahagian dan setiap bahagian adalah dalam lebih kurang 10 minit. Setelah menonton video tersebut, saya berasa director dan editor video tersebut berkemungkinan mempunyai beberapa motif dalam pembikinannya iaitu untuk :

1) Memberitahu kepada dunia akan perangai sebenar Rosmah,

2) Mendedahkan sikap sebenar Rosmah kepada dunia,

3) Memburukkan imej Rosmah,

4) Memburukkan imej Najib

dan

5) Sudah tentunya untuk memburukkan imej kerajaan Barisan Nasional.

Saya secara jujur, tidak boleh mengatakan saya mempercayai video2 tersebut. Kerana terdapat agak banyak kepincangan dalam video tersebut.

antaranya ialah :

1. Didalam video tersebut, lelaki yang mendakwa dirinya sebagai adik kepada Rosmah iaitu Rosmanuddin seakan-akan cuba mengatakan seolah-olah Rosmah telah menganiaya beliau sejak sekian lama, macam sudah berpuluh tahun Rosmah telah menganiaya beliau. Tapi didalam video yang sama ada disebut Rosmah telah meminta isteri kepada Rosmanuddin keluar daripada kediaman rasmi Timbalan Perdana Menteri. Ini bermakna Rosmanuddin kemungkinan besar baru sahaja bergaduh dengan Rosmah!! Kerana sekiranya beliau sudah lama bergaduh, diketepikan, tidak dipedulikan dan dianiaya oleh Rosmah. Takkanlah beliau boleh tinggal dirumah kediaman rasmi Timbalan Perdana Menteri???

2. Didalam video tersebut juga ada disebut akan Che Mah yang mendakwa Rosmah bermacam-macam hal. Tetapi dalam video itu juga memberitahu bahawa Che Mah sendiri yang memperkenalkan bomoh kepada Rosmah. Jadi kredibility Che Mah yang didakwa merupakan ibu angkat kepada Rosmah boleh dipersoalkan.

3. Rosmanuddin yang mendakwa dirinya sebagai adik kandung Rosmah juga mempunyai IC yang beralamat di Jalan Langgak Duta. Untuk pengetahuan semua, mereka yang menduduki Jalan Langgak Duta, bukanlah calang2 orang. Jadi sekiranya Rosmanuddin mendakwa dirinya diabai dan dianiaya Rosmah sejak sekian lama, takkanlah Rosmah boleh benarkan beliau tinggal di Jalan Langgak Duta untuk tempoh masa yang lama?

4. Seorang lagi lelaki yang dipanggil Arshad@ACAD yang mendakwa dirinya sebagai saudara kepada Rosmah, beliau sendiri menyatakan bahawa diri beliau pernah tinggal di Kediaman Rasmi Timbalan Perdana Menteri. Jadi, sekiranya beliau tinggal dikediaman rasmi Timbalan Perdana Menteri, takkanlah beliau boleh mendakwa diri beliau telah diabaikan oleh Rosmah buat sekian lama?

5. Video tersebut juga mendakwa Rosmah telah mengabaikan anak perempuan beliau bersama suami pertamanya. Seolah-olah Rosmah sangat benci dengan anaknya yang pertama. Tetapi, kita perlu lihat, kerana dalam video itu sendiri menyatakan Rosmah yang memperkenalkan Dr.Fazley kepada anaknya sehingga membawa mereka ke gerbang perkahwinan.

6. Didalam video tersebut juga ada di wawancara akan seorang wanita tua yang dikenali sebagai Induk Leha iaitu didakwa kononnya ibu saudara kepada Rosmah. Adalah menjadi sungguh pelik kerana, didalam wawancara tersebut Induk Leha menyatakan kali terakhir beliau berjumpa dengan Rosmah adalah ketika 30 tahun dahulu, iaitu sewaktu Rosmah mengandungkan anak Najib yang kedua. Yang peliknya disini, umur anak Najib dan Rosmah yang sulung tidak pun mencecah 30 tahun. Jadi kredibilitinya dimana disini?

7. Didalam video tersebut kerap kali diulang yang Rosmah hanya membenarkan emaknya sahaja masuk kedalam kediaman rasmi Perdana Menteri. Saudara mara yang lain tidak dibenarkan. Ikmal Hisham, Acad, Rosmanuddin dalam wawancara itu berkali-kali telah bagitau yang mereka pernah masuk dan tinggal didalam rumah Rosmah dan Najib.

Apa yang saya ingin tegaskan disini adalah, menjadi satu perkara yang penting kita sebagai rakyat malaysia untuk meneliti video tersebut sebaik mungkin. Kerana ianya melibatkan kehidupan bukan sahaja sebarangan orang, tetapi adalah isteri kepada pemimpin negara kita!!!

Saya bukan menyatakan bahawa video tersebut menipu ke apa. Tapi apa yang ingin saya perkatakan disini. Ianya mempunyai banyak kepincangan. Motif mereka yang membuat video ini juga amat jelas. Saya rasa saya tidak perlu menyatakan disini, akan motif mereka. Kerana ianya sudah jelas, lagi bersuluh.

Angkuh mereka yang berumur 1 tahun 4 bulan.

Saya tidak berapa terkejut selepas membaca berita yang melaporkan DAP Kedah keluar daripada Kerajaan Pakatan Rakyat yang diterajui PAS. Alasan mereka untuk keluar daripada kerajaan PR di negeri Kedah adalah kerana PAS telah merobohkan rumah sembelihan khinzir yang telah didirikan secara haram.

Selain itu mereka juga menyatakan ketidak puasan hati mereka berkenaan kuota bumiputera 50% dalam pembelian rumah. Tindakan mereka ini mendapat restu daripada DAP pusat.

Keangkuhan DAP telah lama ditunjukkan dalam banyak tindakan2 mereka. Bukan sahaja tindakan parti dan pemimpin2 mereka. Malah juga daripad kenyataan2 yang dikeluarkan pemimpin2 mereka.

Seperti didalam kes2 di Kampung Buah Pala ataupun High Chapparal. Di mana mereka secara selamba menghalau penduduk2 india di Kampung Buah Pala. Dengan angkuh mereka meletakkan kesalahan atau beban itu kepada Kerajaan BN yang memerintah Penang sebelum ini.

Dengan alasan, kerajaan BN yang telah meletakkan harga yang begitu rendah pada tanah tersebut sebelum ini. Seolah-olah Kerajaan DAP tidak boleh berbuat apa-apa dengan keadaan tersebut. Apa yang menjadi persoalan nya disini, takkan Kerajaan Negeri tidak boleh berbuat apa-apa?

Ada beberapa cara untuk kerajaan Negeri menangani masalah tersebut seperti :

1) Menukar status tanah tersebut.

2) Meletakkan caveat pada tanah tersebut.

3) dan lain2.

Alasan seperti menyalahkan kerajaan negeri Barisan Nasional dalam hal ni, menjadi petunjuk bukan sahaja kerajaan DAP memutar belit, malah menipu, angkuh dan mahu menindas rakyat. Sekarang bila dah memerintah dia boleh pula mengikut kehendak pemaju. Sudah jelas apa yang diperkatakan beliau sebelum ini dalam membela nasib rakyat, hanya retorik semata-mata.

Ditambah lagi dengan kenyataan baru beliau yang tersangat angkuh. Apabila ditanya wartawan akan masalah berkenaan dengan High Chapparal. Beliau dengan angkuh menyatakan :

"I have handed over this task to Mansor (Deputy Chief Minister I Mansor Othman) and Ramasamy (Deputy Chief Minister P Ramasamy).So I don't want people questioning their ability."

Bercakap macam diktator. Konon-konon tegas. Tapi nada seperti seorang yang angkuh dan berlagak.

Beliau juga secara angkuh memberi amaran kepada pemaju, kononnya kerajaan tidak teragak-agak untuk memberhentikan projek sekiranya ada masalah timbul pada pemaju.

Satu lagi contoh, untuk menunjukkan betapa angkuhnya pemimpin DAP, boleh dilihat dalam kes yang melibatkan rakan tidur mereka sendiri didalam Pakatan Rakyat. Iaitu PKR.

Dimana DAP telah memecat seorang wakil rakyat PKR dalam kerajaan negeri Pulau Pinang. Lepas itu secara angkuhnya menyatakan PKR boleh cuba lantik wakil tersebut sekiranya mereka mahu.

Haih.. DAP.. DAP keangkuhan mereka mmg tiada tolok bandingnya.

Yang menjadi satu cerita kelakar ialah, tiada satu pun Parti lain didalam Pakatan Rakyat sendiri berani menegur akan keangkuhan mereka ini.

p/s : Sedih melihat bangsaku mencerca sesama sendiri dan rela diperkudakan bangsa lain.
